    Sales Executive

    Job description

    RLG Africa encompasses several of the most prestigious names in the luxury industry including Cartier, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Panerai and Montblanc.

    Purpose

    The sales consultant will be in charge of handling the sale or of a wide range of products and services directly to consumers, and of answering requests for information from customers; at the service of the customer. Before the sale, to advise; during the sale, to explain the terms; or after the sale, in the event of claims, returns or after sales services. The incumbent may also prepare merchandise and help in setting up displays.

    Responsibilities

    • Greeting customers Advising customers on products
    • Providing the best customer service possible Handling after sales services
    • Processing returns and exchanges Handling customer complains
    • Responsible for processing cash and card payments
    • Building customer loyalty Building customer data base
    • Maintain close relationships with clients Drive and deliver personal sales and KPI targets
    • Maintain “Service and Standards” at all times by adhering to all policies
    • Provide a luxury experience Support and lead by example at in-store events
    • Preparing merchandise for sale Assisting in the display of merchandise
    • Be involved in stock control and management
    • Balance cash register Keep store clean and tidy
    • Attaching price tags to merchandise
    • Responsible for security within store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
    • Maintain knowledge of products, policies regarding sales and security practices Gift wrapping
    • Requisition of special orders for clients
    • Previous successful experience within the luxury environment Proven track record on sales
    • Ambitious personality with strong negotiation skills Interpersonal effectiveness, flexible and adaptable

    Boutique Manager

    Job description

    Purpose

    • To ensure management of the day-to-day store operations to transform corporate objectives into operational ones at boutique level and to prepare business analysis and action plans to achieve sales targets.
    • Promote Montblanc's image and to be a Brand Ambassador as per the Maison’s directives.
    • Develop an outstanding team with a clear understanding of the boutique goals and constantly deliver a customer experience that is in line with the Montblanc standard of excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Business management and development: Meet and/or exceed the sales target of the boutique set by the Brand Manager/Retail Operations Manager
    • Meet and/or exceed the KPI’s set by the Brand Manager/Retail Operations Manager
    • Establish budget and track sales
    • Development and implementation of Boutique Action Plans with Country Manager
    • Review monthly boutique dashboard , submit quarterly related action plan, and report on the outcome of the actions put in place
    • Review competition trends, recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives Provide weekly feedback on Sales, etc. for reporting purposes
    • Client relationship Management and Care Service:
    • Share clientele development initiatives and feedback collected from team members Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service
    • Ensure client details are captured with accuracy to grow CRM database Maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service Ensure attention to existing and new recruitment of VIPs clients, and prospects, effectively creating a database for boutique sales and marketing activities Constantly demonstrate Maison ambassadorial skills with partners or local dignitaries, at meetings, events (local & international), charity dinners and other work-related functions Monitor Aftersales Service cases handled by the sales team in order to ensure excellence
    • Team management:
    • Ensure proactivity of all boutique staff members
    • Provide input for the hiring for new team members
    • Lead and act as advisor to boutique team regarding projects, tasks and operations
    • Ensure coaching of team, individual, and collective objectives with on-the-job training, appraisals, task allocation, and feedback on expectations
    • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
    • Reinforce continuously respectful communication between all departments Assess the training needs for the team and plan their career evolution
    • Organise regular, minuted staff meetings to train staff on new product launches Monitor staff appearance and behaviour, in line with Maison policy and guidelines
    • Boutique operation management:
    • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings Supervision of/and support to the boutique team to ensure:
    • Service excellence within the boutique and team
    • Excellence for overall appearance and maintenance of the boutique in accordance with Maison guidelines.
    • Compliance with operations procedures
    • Accuracy of monthly cycle counts and application of all measures to avoid stock discrepancies
    • Regular follow-up with regional head office for stock replenishments, active order requests, reporting
    • Implementation of visual merchandising or architectural initiatives
    • Store walk-through and audits, etc.
    • Financial Control:
    • Compliance with group procedures and legal, fiscal and customs regulations Cash registry controls

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years prior retail management experience in the luxury sector (watches and jewellery ideally)
    • Strong, proven selling and relationship-building skills
    • Experience within a flagship or highly visible boutique essential
    • Ability to motivate, cultivate, develop and lead a team in line with Montblanc’s image
    • Strong culture and ability to interact easily with VIPs
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent representation of the brand inside and outside the boutique
    • Proven track record of networking capacities Computer proficiency (Microsoft office)
