Responsibilities:

• Manage the Product Development and Analytical development teams
• Providing guidance, coaching and mentorship to foster a collaborative and high performing environment
• Ensure that the development of new products takes place and support the reformulation of existing products
• Support production initiatives like process improvement projects to improve the manufacturing process of existing products
• Ensure that the required analytical development is completed for all new products, new raw materials, existing product reformulations, and process improvement projects 
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and ensure that the laboratories are run per GLP and safety principles including those about HACCP, cGMP, and GLP
• Manage the Analytical and Stability Services Portfolio 
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in product development to drive continuous improvement and innovation
• Drafting and managing the annual Product Development budget

Requirements

• MSc Chemistry or equivalent, preferably PhD. 
• 5 years' experience in Product Development in the Pharmaceutical Industry
• 5 years of managerial experience leading teams or companies
• Extensive experience in analytical method validation, stability testing criteria and formulation development experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent project management skills 
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
• Analytical mindset 
• Report writing skills
• Passion for product design and innovation

Description

Responsibilities: 

• Set up meetings (internal and external) and teleconferences •Book appropriate venues and arrange catering as required 
• Prepare documentation, meeting packs 
• Record and transcribe minutes of meetings as required •Meet external visitors and ensure they are shown to the correct meeting venue 
• Keep filing up to date and information accessible 
• Coordinate the sign off of contracts and file correctly
• Draft correspondence according to instructions 
• Type documents accurately, proofread and distribute 
• Compile reports and statistics accurately and send out 
• Compile Exec presentations for strategic meetings and take minutes 
• Provide administrative support•Coordinate stock of stationary and cleaning supplies 
• Track expenditure and monitor variations on spend 
• Coordinate events and coordinate itineraries
• Manage Manco team travel administration

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Secretarial or Office Administration qualification 
• 5 years administrative or Secretarial experience at a senior level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 
• Excellent planning, prioritizing, and interpersonalskills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Superbcommunication and collaboration skills.
