    Senior Instrument Technician

    Job Description

    As part of this team, you will be expected to successfully manage these duties:

    • Management of the equipment within the process control domain
    • Best practice for instrumentation developed within relevant legal and safety frameworks
    • Audit high risk and safety critical areas
    • Analyse and identify problems on the current control solution
    • System trouble shooting and hardware problems resolution
    • Support on existing instrumentation, networks and hardware
    • Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution

    This position is in the Engineering department at a D1 level, reporting into the Instrument Specialist.

    Qualifications

    To join this team, you will have the following qualification:

    • ND: Electrical (LC) or NQF level 5 equivalent

    In order to be successful in this role, your experience will include:

    • 3 years relevant work experience - including faultfinding on instruments
    • Experience with Siemens Step7 programming, Scada systems (IFIX / WinCC)
    • Extensive experience on DCS system (PCS7)
    • Profibus DP and PA network diagnostics and faultfinding
    • ASI networks configuration and programming.
    • Experience on historian database e.g. PI.
    • You will have experience in Process Instrumentation in a smelter environment.
    • This role requires you to be on standby, which will include shift work
    • Valid drivers licence with your own transport
    • Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA would be an advantage
    • English literate
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, standards and specifications

    Principal UG Mine Manager

    Job Description

    They key purpose of this role is to apply your underground mechanised mine operational, technical and management experience in support of delivering the progressive transformation of our business to large scale mechanised underground mines through best practice mining systems and new mine technologies.

    Some of the key responsibilities include:

    • Apply your extensive operational experience and technical understanding of modern mechanised underground mines to support operational tactics and site management teams in delivery of critical underground projects.
    • Develop key relationships with Tier 1 Mining contractors, owner project management teams, priority global OEM’s and broad stake holder groups to enable efficient and effective delivery of our mining projects and improvement of existing mines.
    • Introduce your global mining experience across multiple regions to support capacity building in work teams across our operating jurisdictions.
    • Support configuration of our underground projects and mines to enable a portfolio of the safest and most productive mines in the world through best practice systems and introduction of enabling mine technologies.
    • Proven ability to understand complexed underground mechanised mines and identify strategies, tactics and operational actions to unlock best practice performance (P101).
    • Provide thought leadership to an array of complexed options and alternatives, support and lead multi-stakeholder engagement, influence positive outcomes from stakeholder integration, delivering best for business outcomes.
    • Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Group’s values, standards and a professional workplace.
    • Demonstrated experience in key Underground Mine Management or Project Manager of medium-large scale UG modern mechanised mines with demonstrated best practice performance. (Mining Engineering degree preferred, not essential).
    • Attained Mining management statutory qualification with demonstrated use in underground hardrock mechanised mines.

    Specialist OM

    Job Description

    As our OM Specialist, you will support the effective implementation and use of the Anglo Operating Model by Business Improvement and operation staff by

    • Implementation of Work Management according to Anglo Operating Model guidelines and implementation schedule
    • Understanding the Work Management theory and methodology and practical application
    • Coaching operations staff on use of Work Management tools to support execution of Site Strategy
    • Assisting Operations to use Work Management tools to improve the business
    • Identifying and closing gaps in Work Management implementation
    • Monitoring the understanding of use of Work Management and intervene where their departmental practices do not align with Work Management methodology

    This role is in the Integrated Planning and Operating Model department on a Band 6 and reporting to the Manager Work Management

    Qualifications
    You will be required to have:

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Engineering Degree in Industrial/ Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    • Project Management Certificate and experience is a requirement
    • 3-5 years’ experience in mining engineering maintenance (preferably in Open pit Mining)
