    Import Export Governance Officer

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Manage critical global trade import and export transactions, ensuring that requirements, documentation and processes function according to standard operating procedures and in compliance with trade laws.
    • Run the Trade Compliance council with Procurement, Customer Ops, SCM, Logistics, Regulatory, Tax,
    • Research and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure effective import and export compliance within the region.
    • Communicate import requirements across EMEA and CS Product Portfolio.
    • Guide phytosanitary import clearance.
    • Implement internal controls and harmonize controls across the product portfolio.
    • Manage Green Light Operations and HS dispute / Off system with CoE.
    • Audit team members’ files to ensure files are maintained in audit-ready status and act as first line of support for Customs Audit.
    • Support license requests for non-commercial goods.
    • Govern local IE operations, IPR / bonded WH processes, export order processes, non-commercial shipment processes, and IE clearance operations.
    • Roll out Bayer policies, procedures, and systems (Margo 1933 /1922, DocDash TA15, IGL platform) act as the CCO.
    • Establish IE SCM and PS community for sharing of best practices.
    • Define troubleshooting team for problems occurring in the imports and exports process.
    • Develop process solutions and guidelines to address frequently occurring process problems to ensure smooth service delivery.
    • Enable new business model in the region and outline entity flow setup according to portfolio requirements.
    • Support internal customer specific projects

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture or any other relevant field.
    • 6-8 years’ experience in supply chain and/or trade compliance.
    • Strong experience coordinating activities with cross-functional/cross-cultural teams.
    • Strong project management background and strategic mindset.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Strong cross-cultural sensitivity.
    • Fluent in English

    Senior. Finance Analyst PH NWA & SEWA

    Role purpose

    • Enables and support steering of the financial performance of the PH commercial operations for the Country Clusters North West and South East West Africa incl. planning, forecasting, commercial strategies and provides relevant reports, data and insights for planning and decision making.
    • Primary point of contact to the Finance Business Partners as well as local Division Heads with focus on Anglo East & West as well as French Africa, active member of the Country Divisional Management team.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Responsible for delivering on financial targets by providing reliable financial steering (alignment operational/financial planning, target setting, resource allocation, deviation analysis, mitigation plans) by supporting NWA & SEWA Finance Business partners
    • Closely partners with the Division Head of the Country Cluster and his/her leadership team to ensure financial performance according to targets and driving strategic and operational agenda
    • Sets clear standards how the business is to be steered and how to best support managers & stakeholders in sound decision-making
    • Acts as a sparring partner by providing insights and challenging the organization through benchmarks, trend analysis, as well as external evaluations
    • Identifies, pursues, manages business risks and opportunities
    • Enables effective financial business steering and resource allocation in line with strategic objectives and provides basis for planning and decision making

    Executes operational controlling tasks including:

    • Preparation and coordination of financial forecasts and financial planning (sales, cost, FTE)
    • Regular reports (channel, margins), e.g. gross to net sales, marginal income analysis, deviation analysis (volume, prices, currency)
    • Monitoring of financial incentive plans (STI, local sales incentives) d) Coordinating financial risk management
    • Translates business strategy into operational planning (e.g. from StraCo to OPC) and ensure adherence to HQ standards and guidelines
    • Develops & establishes state-of-the-art controlling concepts
    • Drives and is strongly involved in efficiency projects, continuous improvement initiatives etc.
    • Provides input for local FACT colleagues for financial planning and analysis

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in economics or financial management
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in respective industry / Commercial Operations with increasing responsibility
    • Advanced skills to analyze business and financial trends in order to make sound business decisions, anticipating future market developments
    • Strong management, leadership, organizational and communication skills 
    • Knowledge of the economic and business environment in subregion
    • Analytical skills, structured approach, proactive and self-motivated
    • Team spirit, good communication, and constructive facilitation skills
    • Proven experience in motivating and influencing others in a diverse, multi-cultural, cross functional organization
    • Capabilities to maneuver within the matrix organization, in particular between backbone functions and the division

    Digital Activation Specialist

    Role purpose

    • The DAS will focus on activation of Grower accounts and training of internal (country organisation) and external (farmers, distribution sales teams, agronomic advisors). Customer activation will be focused on necessary equipment connectivity, data layers and non-connected features essential to achieve value from FieldView Plus solutions (seed, fertility, crop protection).

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Drive Climate FieldView user activation and engagement across the country or country group
    • Develop (if not reporting to DAM) and execute the annual business planning process including data streaming objectives in coordination with DBM (Digital Business Manager).
    • Execute the business strategy to achieve hectare penetration, farmer adoption, active use and retention rates.
    • Enable FieldView connection to core activities linked to Bayer Seed and CP footprint.
    • Collaborate effectively with the EMEA Business Operations Team or DAM to ensure the availability of the necessary tools to activate and engage customers.
    • Ensure the best farm experience with FV tools, in agreement with the DAM or Bayer country group strategy. From Onboarding, Engaging and Utilising the FV platform.
    • Work in partnership across the Bayer Commercial leads / teams as the account activation lead aligned with specific sales regions.
    • Build close relationships with partner sales organisations / dealers and help these dealers become experts and advocates of Climate FieldView.
    • Ability to represent the Fieldview product portfolio at expert level.
    • Be a precision Farming expert in the territory/country.
    • Develop a strong relationship with sales teams and dealers to ensure an optimal handover of selected farmer leads ready for activation

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (preferable in Agri-Business, Ag- Economics, Agronomy or Ag-Sciences) and 5 or more years of experience or 10 years of experience with no degree.
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
    • High knowledge on precision ag equipment like OEM Monitor, ISOBUS technology and ag equipment.
    • Knowledge of the Ag supply chain, including key customer segments and Bayer product portfolio.
    • Experience assessing, developing, training and expanding channels (e.g., retailers, dealers) to reach end users.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience and proficiency in leading small and large group presentations.
    • Ability to master value-based selling and effectively develop, demonstrate and communicate unique value propositions for a market changing service.
