    Area Social Media Executive

    Description

    We are looking for an Area Social Media Executive to join our team, for Mount Nelson Hotel and Belmond Safaris:

    • Responsible for content creation, posting and maintenance of the Social Media accounts for all properties in the region.

    • Curate Instagram profile based on aesthetics; property needs as well as content performance.

    • Monitoring customers posts and engagement, handling questions and reviews in conjunction with the Public Relations Manager and General Managers in the properties.

    • Create strong relationships with influencers, cooperating with known and potential new ones, managing their stays and ensuring appropriate visibility to the properties and the brand.

    • Maximise exposure and engagement on the social accounts, via sponsored or organic content, with the purpose of driving to web and increasing online revenue.

    • Travel to properties, as required, to capture best possible social content for daily and/or specific needs and content editing.

    • Organise and assist in photo and video shootings, ensuring the creation of appropriate social media content to guarantee weekly number of posts.

    • Arrange social media coverage of main events and property initiatives, either in person or coordinating local team, giving each event visibility or call to action as relevant.

    • Promote local events and initiatives, with sponsored or organic content and promotions, monitoring engagement and ROI.

    • Manage online crisis within guidelines from Corporate social media and Communication teams, making sure all issues are addressed and responded.

    • Ensure that social communication content support the brand’s “six months” theme.

    • Maintain and build regular communication with colleagues in the field, including General Managers, PR Managers and relevant operational teams to support the overall business strategies.

    • Monitor blogs and online discussions on our properties.

    Requirements

    • Degree in marketing, communication studies, journalism, creative writing, or similar.

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position.

    • Expert knowledge of all leading social media sites.

    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

    • Knowledge of strategic communications and marketing concepts, principles, and techniques.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    We are looking for an Area Marketing Manager:

    • Ensure the creation of new or updated brand collateral for all properties in the region.

    • Assist with the productions of all photo & video shootings and responsible for image libraries.

    • Ensure hotels websites are updated with relevant and current information, monitor performance and suggest actions to enhance visibility and improve conversions.

    • Provide content and ideas for direct and electronic mailings, both to consumers and travel trade.

    • Maintain and build regular communication with colleagues in the field, including General Managers, PR Managers and relevant operational teams to support the overall business strategies.

    • Collaborate proactively with corporate head office in rolling out initiatives on local or area levels.

    • Cooperate with the Sales, Groups other departments brainstorming and aligning on projects.

    • Prepare all flyers and collateral as required for the Sales and Marketing Department.

    • Manage the content for the Social Media channels and the property’s website ensuring it they are updated at all times and fully reflect the activities and products available at the property.

    • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.

    • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.

    • Execute marketing tactics, partnerships, programming and activations supporting the hotel.

    • Create a content strategy for the website, social media platforms & email communications.

    • Plan and communicate marketing plans and activities with operators.

    • Support PR, social media and digital media tactics.

    • Attend key operational meetings to ensure alignment with all hotel stakeholders.

    • Responsible for preparing and managing the Sales and Marketing budget and forecast

    Groups and Events Coordinator

    Description

    We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groups and Events Coordinator to join our wonderful Groups and Events team. Here at Mount Nelson, our venues provide the perfect setting; whether you’re planning a large-scale business event, a showstopping wedding reception or a more intimate cocktail party, our team puts together some incredible events. If you have previous experience within the events industry then we would love to hear from you.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Preparing quotes, making follow-up calls with prospective clients and holding meetings with clients who are interested in hosting an event.

    • Quote and contract all potential business through all available booking channels.

    • To optimise sales & profitability through an effective and efficient reservations process whilst enhancing relationships with existing clients.

    • Manage site inspections in conjunction with the Sales team.

    • Spend time in each function / event to ensure that the guests and organisers are well looked after and to support banqueting where needed.

    • To ensure that function sheets are compiled accurately on a weekly basis and that any changes are recorded on change sheets and distributed to the relevant parties.

    • Maintain close working relationships with all other departments in the Company; keeping them updated and involved in all details of upcoming functions and groups.

    • Ensure you remain knowledgeable on all aspects relating to the hotel room configuration and banqueting operation and services available; menu options, beverage knowledge, wine lists, function room layout, hotel room layout etc.

    • Inform other departments and follow up with regards to special instructions / requests.

    • Preparing the daily change sheet and distributing accordingly. Performing daily banking duties.

    • Preparing the weekly function run pack and distributing accordingly.

    • Taking refunds, commission claims etc. to accounts daily.

    • Printing of all menus, name place cards and door cards.

    • Assisting clients with floor plans when required with the use of Visio.

    • Qualifying group enquiries in the absence of the Sales Manager or Groups and Events Manager.

    • To ensure that function sheets and Group file covers are compiled and distributed on a weekly basis and that any changes are recorded on change sheets and distributed to the relevant parties.

    • In the absence of the manager, attend weekly Groups meetings to ensure sufficient follow up and information shared with Sales team.

    • Excellent organisation and time management skills
