    Clinic Practitioner - Carnival

    Job Description

    • Dis-Chem is looking for a Qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Carnival. The key purpose of the position is to manage and operate a profitable, Primary Health Care Clinic that is situated in a pharmacy within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Essential:

    • Grade 12 – Matric
    • Tertiary qualification in General Nursing
    • Degree/Diploma in Midwifery
    • Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
    • Nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration
    • 2-3 years’ experience in practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
    • Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Pharmacist - Claremont

    Job Description

    • Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Pharmacist for their Claremont store. Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients’ medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Essential:

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • BPharm / equivalent qualification
    • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
    • Registered tutor
    • Unisolv experience
    • Experience in supervising staff
    • Computer literate – MS Office
    • Sound numerical skills
    • Strong command of the English language and a second language

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Acts & services especially pertaining to a Pharmacist:

    • Provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients’ medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting those needs, which shall include, but not be limited to the following functions:
    • Evaluation of a patient’s medicine-related needs by determining the indication, safety and effectiveness of the therapy
    • Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC
    • Correct errors on scripts rejected by medical aid
    • Dispensing of any medicine or scheduled substance on the prescription of a person authorised to prescribe medicine
    • Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regard to the use medicine
    • Determining patient compliance with the therapy, and follow-up to ensure that the patient’s medicine-related needs are being met
    • The provision of pharmacist-initiated therapy
    • The compounding, manipulation, preparation or packaging of any medicine or scheduled substance, or the supervision thereof
    • The manufacturing of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof
    • The purchasing, acquiring, importing, keeping, possessing, using, releasing, storage, packaging, re-packaging, supplying or selling of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof
    • The application for the registration of a medicine in accordance with the Medicines Act and Pharmacy Act
    • Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing
    • Follow up with patients regarding script tacking reports as requested by the Dispensary Manager, and follow up appointments
    • Explain all medical aid costs to patients
    • Process all paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aids
    • Ensure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS, and oncology medication
    • Maintain customer profiles on the system
    • Merge profiles locally, and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally
    • Take note of any messages on the customer profile, and take suitable action
    • Report on low / out of stock levels, and stock errors to the Dispensary Manager
    • Facilitate biannual stock takes
    • Exercise stock, cash and asset control

    • Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available in their F&R Support team at head office in Midrand. Ensure the effective and smooth use of the SAP F&R system across the business, aligned to business needs.

     Minimum Requirements…

     Job Specification…

    • Maintain integrity and functionality of; design, spec, and provide reports from; SAP F&R.
    • Report to and assist the F&R Manager.
    • Do not divulge any confidential information (sales, turnover, costs, agreements of any kind, financial information) to anyone.
    • Provide training, create SAP F&R tips and how to docs to Dis-Chem staff when required.
    • Create of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to improve or enhance business processes and reporting within the SAP F&R Module.

    • Respond to and assist with any query, related to SAP F&R, from any Dis-Chem stakeholder, which include store and head-office staff, Managers, Suppliers, Customers, Auditors, and SAP Consultants.
    • Be able to create and use excel spread sheets to give information to Dis-Chem Senior Management when required.
    • Establish and maintain a sound relationship with all Dis-Chem stakeholders.
    • Ensure frequent communication with all Dis-Chem stakeholders both verbally and in writing regarding matters relating to the SAP F&R.
    • Provide a friendly and efficient knowledgeable service to all Dis-Chem stakeholders.
    • Assist Dis-Chem stakeholders with general queries as they come in or direct their queries to the relevant people if you are unable to assist with the necessary information.
    • Inform management of any discrepancies and unresolved matters.
    • Working towards business stock and service levels (in stock) targets.
    • Report any form of discrepancies to management.
    • Do daily Health Checks.
    • Close heat calls within SLA.
    • Attend to and amend any SAP F&R query or error experienced by any Dis-Chem stakeholder.
    • Assist Stores with SAP F&R queries and problems during the work day, after hours and during weekends when needed.
    • Assist the Stores with their queries related to SAP F&R processes.
    • Maintain, change and support all relevant master data for SAP F&R.
    • Practice quality assurance by testing the function of current and new processes by detecting and identifying any defects and to make sure those mistakes are eliminated.
    • Monitor and ensure smooth integration between SAP F&R and all related systems.
    • Assist with loading and resolving all relevant F&R queries.
    • Give regular feedback and provide assistance to the SAP F&R teams, Stores and Dis-Chem Management team.
