    Outreach Marketing Intern

    About the Job

    About the role

    • Are you looking for a remote internship to accelerate your career in the for-good sector? GVI is looking for an intern to join the marketing team. If you are organised, pride yourself on your attention to detail, love to “get stuff done”, and are looking for a role within marketing in an environment that invites you to be a part of something bigger then look no further.
    • To thrive in the Outreach Team, you need to be a team player who enjoys a fun but fast-paced environment. Our work ranges from communication with GVI alumni to virtual/physical events, to researching innovative ways to increase GVI’s brand awareness. The Outreach Intern will join the team to help out with important admin-related tasks and to help support the Outreach Team (and the greater Marketing Team).
    • In this role, you’ll work closely with the Global Outreach Manager and gain valuable experience using tools like SalesForce, Survey Monkey, Trello, MailChimp, and Flickr, as well as online careers portals. Many of the tasks involved with this role will be admin-related. However, you will also have the opportunity to research and book events at schools and universities, create content for newsletters and Facebook groups, get involved in brainstorms, social listening activities, basic media and PR requests, and more.

    • We’re looking for a wordsmith with a commercial mindset. Can you grab someone’s attention in one sentence and woo them into taking action, yesterday? If so, read on.
    • The successful candidate for this role will be able to communicate with a Gen Z audience in an engaging but succinct manner. This person will be responsible for crafting copy for ad-hoc communications across multiple platforms; including social media, email and print.     FGASA Conservation Program Officer

    About the Job

    About the role

    • GVI is looking for a Program Officer who will support the Program Manager at the GVI Limpopo base, which is focused on wildlife conservation on a big 5 game reserve.

    Role and responsibilities:

    • Supporting in the running and development of projects.
    • Act as an enthusiastic role model for volunteers and provide guidance and mentorship.
    • Working with scientific mapping software
    • Data analysing, writing and reporting
    • Adopt a flexible work approach that will include working evenings and weekends.
    • Assisting to ensure that the programs continue to operate to a high standard for both volunteers and project partners
    • Assisting with administrative work if needed, including reporting and scheduling.
    • Ensure GVI’s child protection policies are implemented and maintained
    • Assist in the development of the under-18 and group programmes
    • Ensure all Health and Safety practices are being followed to a high standard and the necessary actions are taken should they not be
    • Motivate and support volunteers and participant's teams to a high level.
    • Ensure all volunteers and interns are completing their duties to the necessary standard and taking the appropriate actions if they are not.
    • Logistics: Help coordinate activities, side trips and airport transfers for our volunteers and ensure all details are communicated to volunteers in a timely manner
    • Ensure all day-to-day logistics run smoothly

    • This role owns all of the planning, reporting, treasury, cost management and statutory compliance for all of GVI’s global operations.
