• A great mining company in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking the expertise of an Environmental Manager to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of integrated mine closure plans that prioritize environmental sustainability and community well-being
• Collaborate with mining operations to ensure compliance with closure obligations and post-closure monitoring
• Collaborate closely with the Life of Mine Planning teams to ensure that mine closure considerations are seamlessly integrated into long-term planning
• Oversee water resource management, including efficient usage and responsible discharge practices
• Implement water conservation measures and engage with local communities on sustainable water practices
• Develop and oversee environmental monitoring programs to track key performance indicators

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Bachelors / Masters Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Management
• 10 – 12 years’ experience in an underground mining environment

Description

• A chrome mining company has partnered with Hire Resolve to find a FA Specialist to join their team in Roodepoort, Gauteng. The purpose of this job is to assist in the increase of efficiencies and dedicated business improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation, and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
• Ensure congenial relationship with Business Improvement stakeholders is established and maintained
• Effective analytical support provided for the Business Improvement function
• Act as primary resource for accessing relevant production and cost data
• Provide analytic support for weekly review and for updates to relevant departments
• Effective implementation support is provided to the Business
• Ensure that strong improvement skills and insight into key functions / operations are developed and maintained
• Gain solid understanding of key improvement concepts

Requirements

• Degree or National Diploma in Business Management / Business Informatics / Computer Science / Information Technology
• 4 years’ relevant experience in a Business Improvement environment
