Role Description
Performance of audits (Customer focus)
Successful completion of audit engagements (cradle to the grave) in the Internal Audit plan with a work timeframe of weeks to months per engagement. Preparation of audit engagement planning Audit Planning Memorandum & Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) in line with the governing policy, procedure, process or underlying theory/accounting standard. Conduct audit tests in line with the processes in the Risk and Control Matrix.
Provide assurance that Liquid Telecom complies to International Financial Reporting Standards. Provide adequate and timely assurance that the Assets of Liquid are adequately secured and properly accounted for. Clear alignment to best practices and improvements in functional efficiencies. Continuous discussions with relevant auditee and relevant staff with respect to information required, risk and controls and potential issues.
Compilation of audit engagements issue sheets. Prepare relevant working papers and complete audit file per engagement. Give input to the issue and rating committee meetings with respect to audit work performed. Make recommendations to improve control environment across the departments in alignment to best practices. Communicating and providing support within the internal audit team to avoid duplication of work on inter-related processes.
Collaboration with other assurance providers
Collaboration with second line of defense functions (Risk Management, Business Process Management, Insurance and Compliance) to ensure the completeness and validity of audit engagements conducted.
Collaboration with second line of defense functions (Risk Management, Business Process Management, Insurance and Compliance) to provide feedback, post audit engagements completion, of risk and controls to be addressed by second line functions. Collaboration with third line defense of functions (External Audit, and Fraud & Forensics) to facilitate reliance being placed on audit engagement work performed. Communication with first line of defense to remain current of business operations and potential key risk indicators. Collaboration with the Domain Audit team tracking open audit issues. Collaboration with the Domain Audit team to assist with Continuous Assurance, Customer Audits and Adhoc Management Request.Collaboration with Quality Assurance. ROLE PURPOSE
- Maximize revenue opportunities through establishing, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with strategic customers as well as defining and executing sales strategies that focus on increased sales and profitability.

Role Purpose
The Senior Specialist: Finance Business Partner is responsible for leading, managing, coordinating and developing the overall business plan associated with Sales Customer contracts in accordance with company policies, regulatory framework and applicable laws. The Senior Specialist: Finance Business Partner will be responsible to develop industry best practice principles across the company contract elements, from Sales, Service Delivery, Service Management, IT support, Finance and Governance/Legal. Acts as the primary contact between the potential partners, business unit, regulatory and legal, ensuring that all financial matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.
The Senior Specialist: Finance Business Partner must understand the business processes of all LTSA functional areas and execute such processes in order to meet Contractual Requirements. The finance business partner will be dealing with complex customised contracts that normally do not conform to normal standard contract terms of the organisation. Hence the Finance Business Partner is responsible to design and implement new processes within the organisation to achieve contract obligations and mitigate customer contractual risks. The Finance Business Partner will be exposed to high risks and severe pressure, that can severely impact the organisations financial results.
Finance business partner work alongside different business departments, providing financial information, tools, analysis and insight to executives, develop new processes, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy. Their role is to provide 'real time' support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making
- The Senior Specialist: Finance Business Partner must develop all risk management models associated with the contracts, to each cross-functional department within the organisation. The Senior Specialist: Finance Business and Commercial should have a full overview of the contract and related project requirements ensuring full business support on contract completion

Role Description
Business Partnering
- Develop business engagement models in support of effective execution and planning of the Business Partner Revenue Forecasts across a specific operational division. Variance analysis including reviewing monthly results and providing detailed analysis and explanation for executive management, review and challenge actual performance, identifying key variances and suggesting potential opportunities and actions to rectify poor performance.
- Implement business product management models in line with best practices that accurately reflects commercial, contractual and legal aspects in accordance with company policies. Strategic development based upon the review and analysis of financial information to identify key trends and areas for future improvement, challenging poor or exceptional performance in financial KPIs and advise on rectification actions. Develop and Implement effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. Provision of decision support through modelling ‘what if’ scenarios, challenge assumptions and make recommendations on preferred outcomes. Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.
Financial Management, Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure contract execution aligned with business cases, operational and financial targets to maximise revenue and margins.Manage cross functional operational efficiency based on business performance data and KPI’s. Establish relationships with the Sales Executives team ensuring quality and timeliness of processing and reporting. Establish compliance criteria and parameters for cross functional efficiency measurement. Support Sales Business with planning and development of Budget input associated with revised business plans. Manage the Sales Business units to ensure that deliverables remain within budgets and report the managed variances within contract structures.
Reporting and Business Analytics
- Develop monthly reporting on BI Platforms, with re and integrate in LIT Reporting platforms. Ensures that Reporting and Analytics is developed in line with company objectives, and information can be access real time. Manage the budgeting process with Business Partner Chief the annual strategic capex budgeting requirements for LTSA for CPM submission. Monitor, track, report to Exco and group and provide feedback to business units of approved spend. (4+8,7+5). Provides accurate and timely reporting on all business financial reports in relation to projects with related scorecards for Exco.Develop and Implement Strategic alignment to the New Liquid Business Segments with the Chief Officers associated with EBU and CBU units.
Governance and Risk Management
- Develop governance processes and structures aimed at sound and accurate execution of monthly obligations and operational requirements. Develop and Implement structures that will ensure QoS internally with business units. Develop cross functional financial business partner capability and alignment to achieve operational requirements for LIT.Develop and implement risk management structures across business units on account delivery and support teams.
- Drive risk resolution and feedback loop as a key risk management function. Develop Budgets and Risk Management Models within the business areas associated with contracts and report Monthly to Exco where applicable. Manage cross functional business and contractual risks through LIT risk management policies.
Corporate Performance Enhancement
- Implement constant improvement measures on current systems and procedures for internal efficiencies regarding monthly revenue forecasting. Maintains an Integrated Business Unit Reporting and provides accurate forecasting of Key Financial indicators. Acts proactively and thinks strategically, in anticipating organisational needs, recognising the wider business environment and dynamics. Recommends a range of suitable options from which to develop sustainable plans and objectives. Business Case methodology control and reports up to Group Level for all LTSA business Cases.
