Your mission will be:

Market, liquidity and credit risk assessments:

• Generate credit risk analyses for new and existing counterparties.
• Generate liquidity risk analyses for fiat globally
• Generate aggregate forecasts of fiat and cryptocurrency liquidity needs across the Luno Group.
• Generate market risk analyses for FX and Crypto (floats, income, revenue)
• Manage the daily, weekly and monthly data inputs and report runs for the treasury risk system
• Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes, including market reports
• Prepare and distribute performance metrics related to treasury activities to the treasury risk committee.

Trading:

• Trade in Money Market Instruments to optimize interest income within liquidity constraints (fixed deposits, floating rate notes, bonds)
• Trade in Hedge Instruments to manage market risk (FX Forwards and Options)
• Trade crypto and forex revenue liquidation trades (FX Spot and Forwards)

System development :

• Maintain current functionality and build out new functionality for the in-house built treasury risk system (Python and Mongo)

A little about you:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in treasury trading, treasury risk or related roles.
• 5 yrs exposure to one of Market, Credit or Liquidity Risk (experience in all three would be a bonus)
• Proficient in Python
• A proficiency and interest in FX / Crypto trading (preferable)
• Understanding of cryptocurrency markets and related financial instruments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and digital assets is a plus.

Job Summary 

The Cloud Security team is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Analyst to contribute to the establishment of the function. The successful candidate will assist the Cloud Security team in delivering on the business security mission to be the most secure crypto currency platform in the world.

Your mission will be:

• To constantly analyse our cloud environments for improvement and automating our detection capabilities.
• Consulting and advising on best practices for new projects throughout the design and implementation phases of the project.
• Analysing existing infrastructure, microservices and integration implementations for risks and defining best practice configurations to mitigate such risks.
• Designing proof of concepts for improvements with safe rollout plans.
• Improving our detection capability for anomalies and working with the relevant teams to resolve them.

A little about you:

• Experienced using AWS or other public cloud providers (AWS certifications would be advantageous).
• Experience using Kubernetes, carrying any current Kubernetes certifications would be an advantage.
• Experience in Cloud / Platform Engineering, Systems Operations, DevOps and/or other relevant fields.
• Experience in monitoring and alerting.
• Experience in automation and development of scripts in any language (Python preferred).
• Experience with developing infrastructure as code in Terraform.

The role in a nutshell:

As we accelerate on our mission to put crypto in everyone’s hands, we will need to understand how customers are using our product and improve the decisions we make through better information. You’ll be focussed on this critical step of creating better information from multiple data sources to guide our decision making and help us build better products and improve our processes.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist familiar with financial markets and working with order book data to provide insights and improve Luno’s liquidity management and develop metrics to effectively monitor the health of our exchanges, as well as improve the performance of our broker system.

This is a unique opportunity to help define the application of data science within the crypto space and lay foundations for how we analyse and assess the behavior of the crypto exchange markets given the unique challenge of the interplay between a retail market component and high volume broker orders.

The ability to ask the right questions, reason about behavior using probabilistic modeling techniques, math and statistics, and a natural curiosity will be key to having an impact in this role.

Your mission will be:

• Use data to learn about our customers and how they are using our product
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and product designers to optimise product performance
• Building reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
• Generate insights to improve the customer experience when using Luno’s broker and exchange services
