    Surveyor Shaft Sinking - Mokopane

    Job description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Effective daily team supervision
    • Effective survey and valuation services to support mine performance
    • Identify survey data needed for shaft equipping work as per daily planning schedule
    • Verification of survey measures via internal checking processes
    • Draught layouts and DME plans
    • Update and maintain shaft survey plans
    • Monthly and daily survey measurements and reporting
    • Survey layouts in conjunction with planning
    • Proactive identification and mitigation of mine survey risks
    • Self and team understand and comply with M&RC’s policies, procedures, standards, and safety protocols
    • Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC’s values

    Minimum requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Advanced Mine Surveying Certificate [Essential]
    • Advanced Mine Valuation Certificate [Essential]
    • MS Office proficient [MS Projects, Excel]

    O&M Technician or Electrician - MRPIW (Bedfordview)

    Job description

    Key Responsibility:

    • Conduct investigations to identify the root causes of issues in PV plants and equipment for effective problem-solving.
    • Implement strategies for preventative maintenance to improve the reliability and lifespan of solar installations.
    • Efficiently switch between on-site inspections and remote monitoring to find faults in PV plants.
    • Perform on-site repairs and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
    • Apply knowledge of Quality Systems to uphold high standards in O&M activities.
    • Follow Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, fostering lasting relationships through clear communication.
    • Apply basic financial accounting principles for client invoicing and quotation preparation.
    • Utilize Microsoft, particularly Excel, for data analysis and exporting.
    • Demonstrate determination and effectiveness under continuous pressure.
    • Maintain a proactive mindset, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
    • Apply independent judgment for informed decision-making in problem-solving scenarios.
    • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in root cause analysis, maintenance, and reporting.
    • Issue electrical certificates of compliance (COC) and use test equipment such as IV curve tester, Insulation tester (Megger), Multi-meter.
    • Be medically fit to work on different sites.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Respond to reported faults within 24 hours.
    • Minimize system downtime to less than 5% through efficient on-site repair.
    • Achieve a preventative maintenance completion rate of 95% or higher.
    • Respond to remote monitoring alerts within one hour.
    • Maintain a client satisfaction rate of 90% or higher.
    • Ensure an accuracy rate of 95% or higher in root cause analyses.
    • Conduct day-to-day activities in a safe manner in order to contribute to the Company’s requirement of zero harm and Stop.Think. Act.24/7

    Minimum requirements

    Qualification:

    • Minimum of N3 in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Trade Test section 13 or 26D with 3-phase Wireman’s License.
    • Electrical Engineering Diploma will be an advantage.

    Work Experience:

    • At least 2 years' experience in renewable energy (solar) and/or electrical maintenance.
    • Knowledge and experience with AC and DC work will be beneficial.
    • Experience with online PV plant monitoring systems will be beneficial.
    • Experience in the operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants will be beneficial.
    • Professional communicator comfortable interacting with clients.
    • Experience in project management and O&M of solar systems will be an advantage.
    • Preference will be given to South African Citizens, Clear Criminal Record, Valid Driver’s License.
