    Projects and Construction Foreman

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Implement, drive and monitor Zero Harm, practices, systems and processes, in areas of Safety, health and environment.
    • Ownership of the installation of plant and equipment with minimum impact on process and operations within the confines of the RR safety process and procedures.
    • Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies (Costs/ Project Quality).
    • Administration and motivation of projects based on the User Requirements Specifications.
    • Installation of all plant and equipment meets the generally accepted technical standards for the work being done.
    • Manage resource for optimal installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Matric qualification.
    • N3 or equivalent with a recognised Trade test certificate preferably in Boiler making or Fitting or Electrical trade.
    • A National Diploma in or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

    Projects Manager- JHB

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Manage budget establishment and submission based on projects that are scoped and costed according to the User Requirement Specification and as set out by the customer (Budget accuracy).
    • The Project Manager is to ensure that all projects assigned follow the Capital Stage Gate process at Rand Refinery from concept, initiation, feasibility, final design, execution, hand over to the customer for beneficial occupation of the asset, and finally, project close-out.
    • Manages contractors and other impacted parties, under direction of the Engineering Manager, with the specific objective to provide a safe, optimal, timely and efficient solution.
    • Ensure that the technical solutions provided enable targeted plant efficiency and productivity.
    • Provide technical solutions considering various maintenance requirements that facilitate effective repairs and maintenance.
    • Continuous improvement of systems and processes by identifying and suggesting alternative solutions that increase throughput, reduce utility consumption, and reduce the maintenance effort.
    • Responsible for SHEQ management by ensuring that equipment, machinery, people and products are protected from risk and harm. This includes identifying and addressing hazards promptly, conducting risk assessments for all solutions provided.
    • Effectively manage the contractors in line with SHEQ standards and processes for Rand Refinery site.

    Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have National Diploma in Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the in a formal Project Management role.
    • Project Management Professional certifications or other Advanced Management Certifications would be advantageous.

    Logistics Assistant

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Operate company vehicles responsibly and always maintain a professional demeanour.
    • Transport goods, materials, and company documents between designated locations.
    • Ensure secure and timely delivery of confidential and sensitive documents.
    • Capture basic logistics information on the relevant systems/tools (e.g., Excel trackers or approved logistics/ ERP platforms), including dispatch/ receiving details, and status updates, as directed.
    • Support the loading/off-loading of shipments.
    • Maintain accurate logistics documentation and system entries—including delivery notes, waybills, and PODs, ensuring minimal rework and zero unresolved discrepancies.
    • Capture and manage logistics data accurately including updating tracking systems, recording delivery and dispatch information.
    • Assist with basic logistics administration such as checking delivery notes/waybills, capturing proof of delivery (POD), updating simple tracking logs, and supporting filing of dispatch/receiving documentation.

    Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Matric qualification.
    • Must have 2–5 years proven driving experience in a logistics, courier, security or corporate environment.
    • Must have South African Driver’s License Code 8/B Minimum.
    • Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is a requirement.
    • Exposure to basic warehouse/logistics activities (e.g., loading/off-loading, dispatch/receiving documentation) would be advantageous.

    Technical Trainer

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Translate operational skills requirements into structured training programmes.
    • Ensure training complies with MERSETA, legislative, and audit requirements.
    • Responsible for training needs analysis across all business areas.
    • Develop, update and track training matrix per business area quarterly.
    • Implement skills development initiatives aligned to employment equity targets.
    • Manage all skills development programmes across all levels.
    • Implement internal technical training in line with business requirements and training needs.
    • Responsible for external training interventions and all related logistics.
    • Responsible for all training administration, training analytics and  report writing.
    • Collaboration with the SHEQ Department with safety interventions to ensure statutory compliance. 
    • Responsible all young talent development programmes (Apprenticeship, Learnership, Internship & Graduate Programme)  learner enrolment at SETA and providing learner support.
    • Plan, manage and deliver the annual training report (ATR) and workplace skills plan for Rand Refinery.
    • Manage E-Learning platform and provide customer reports / updates on mandatory online modules.
    • Responsible for all in-house / custom / bespoke content development and programme delivery.

    Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Matric qualification.
    • Must have a National Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in a Technical field i.e. Engineering or related.
    • A technical trade would be an advantage.
    • Must have 6-8 years’ working experience in a related field, with at least 3 years' experience to SDF and SETA frameworks.
    • Ideally experience in industrial, chemical or refining environments.
