Key Challenges

Local Finance and Controlling Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage financial statements, ensuring compliance with Roche Group Accounting standards, local accounting standards, and tax/customs regulations.
• Evaluate performance, providing financial insights based on commercial KPIs to support decision-making.
• Act as key contact for the Roche Services and Solutions organization (RSS), linking local Commercial and RSS operations.
• Allocate costs and prepare cost center journals.
• Work towards improving Net Operating Assets (NOA).
• Develop, update, and manage finance-related policies, procedures, and systems.
• Manage operational procurement activities.
• Act as a key stakeholder in BBBEE strategic decisions and oversee the audit process.

Business Partnering

• Coordinate strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting, conducting analyses, scenario planning, and presenting outcomes.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Enabling Functions for planning, analysis, and providing actionable insights.
• Participate in portfolio decision-making processes.
• Join cross-functional teams, providing financial input to influence decisions.
• Identify financial opportunities and support subsequent actions.
• Offer valuable financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Serve as the Finance Business Partner for Tax and Supply Chain concerning business finance queries.

Other Responsibilities

• Work on projects using agile methodology, offering training and support to team members and new starters.
• Consistently adhere to data privacy policies and processes.

Who you are as our ideal candidate:

• You have a Degree in economics or finance.
• You bring 5+ years of professional experience in local, regional or global Finance or Controlling roles.

Key Challenges

• Implement standards and workflow processes to manage company pricing and analyze financial impact
• Conduct annual price reviews, ensuring prices are reviewed and approved according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Conducts  price audits for all customers and advises on discrepancy resolution.
• Partner with commercial teams to develop methodologies for calculating List Price, Floor Price, and Price Ceiling for various product lines and market segments.
• Maintain and periodically update the corporate price list.
• Create reports to track and monitor pricing elasticity across product lines and market segments.
• Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation to enhance profitability and ensure pricing integrity and accuracy.
• Evaluate trends to determine customer payment behaviors for high medical value parameters.
• Act as a strategic advisor to commercial teams in creating target pricing for innovative products.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, sales, finance, operations, legal, and global commercial analytics teams.

Who you are as our ideal candidate:

• You hold a completed Bachelors in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance or similar.
• You have accumulated at least 3 years experience in finance, costing or similar.
• Prior experience in Strategic pricing  role is advantageous
• Note that a drivers license is required for this role.
