    Payroll Administrator - S2

    The Role:

    • Responsible for compiling payroll data, errors reconciliation and maintenance of payroll records. 

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Liaising with a range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety.
    • Recruiting staff, which involves developing job descriptions as per specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates.
    • Entering information into payroll system and assist in preparing payroll checks.
    • Absence management.
    • Maintain payroll records on the payroll system.
    • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
    • Undertaking regular salary reviews
    • Administering Weekly and Monthly payroll. 
    • Handle and process all deductions
    • Analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers
    • Planning and sometimes delivering training – including inductions for new staff
    • Manage and handle all payroll related queries
    • Support in maintaining the entire workday employee life cycle process.
    • Prepare and distribute pay slips and produce various payroll and financial reports.
    • Employee File maintenance
    • Maintaining and Managing Payroll Governance. 

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12 / Equivalent
    • A Payroll Certificate
    • National Diploma in Human Resource Management (Advantageous) 
    • 2 to 5 years in a HR administrator role.
    • Workday knowledge, SAGE 300 System knowledge, Time and Attendance System Knowledge, METAL Industries Bargaining Council experience and the Chemical Industries Bargaining Council, SA Labour Law

    The Role 

    • Follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization group 

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Perform routine administrative activities according to the organization's established procedures 
    • Enter information accurately into documents such as reports, presentations, or forms; and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.

     Job Summary

    • To support the Human Resource Development (HRD) function through the design, automation, and management of digital systems and databases that enhance training administration, recordkeeping, and reporting efficiency. The incumbent will develop and maintain Power Platform applications, automate HRD workflows, manage eLearning deployment data, and analyze training metrics to enable data-driven decision-making across the Learning & Development function.

    Engineering Intern: Human Resource Development - P1

     This role lies primarily in the Human Resource division of our business

    • In this role you will be deployed in various divisions within Sandvik, this will provide you with the theoretical and practical experience as an Engineer. You will increase your competencies and skills through the support of senior staff.
    • Your program will cover two key areas which are detailed as below

    Operational Exposure:

    • Where you’ll have opportunity to work as part of the production workshop team and service contract teams in the with an objective of developing Product Knowledge, Product Application & On-site exposure to a variety of our customers,
    •  You will be exposed to various systems and processes employed in the delivery of our products and services to our customers.
    • During this time, you will also be exposed to the mining environment and competencies,
    • You will gain operational & technical competency and experience of our key products with a view of developing a product demonstrations experience.
