    Senior Quality Practitioner

    Purpose of Job

    • The Senior Quality Practitioner is accountable for the effective execution and performance management of defined Quality Management System (QMS) processes across the Marketing & Sales Energy and Chemicals businesses. The role ensures sustained compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO 9001 certification requirements while supporting business performance, customer confidence, and governance assurance.
    • Reporting below the Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Practitioner holds direct ownership of key operational quality outputs, including customer non-conformance management, customer quality audits, quality analytics and reporting, and audit readiness activities. The role provides data-driven quality insight, operational discipline, and assurance support to leadership and governance forums.

    Scope of the Role

    • The role operates with a high degree of autonomy within established quality governance frameworks and supports both Energy and Chemicals Marketing & Sales environments. It requires close engagement with Sales, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Operations, as well as customers and external auditors.

    Key Accountabilities
    Customer Non-Conformance Management

    • Own and manage the end-to-end customer non-conformance process, from intake and classification through investigation, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and customer feedback.
    • Coordinate cross-functional investigations, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality standards and governance requirements.
    • Analyse non-conformance trends and recurring issues to identify systemic risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Customer Desktop Audits & Quality Assurance

    • Lead customer desktop audits, questionnaires, and quality assurance assessments, ensuring accurate, consistent, and auditable responses.
    • Track audit outcomes, commitments, and actions to closure, maintaining traceability to the QMS.

    Quality Analytics & Reporting

    • Apply advanced data analytics and data science principles to identify trends, patterns, and early risk indicators across quality processes.
    • Develop structured Excel-based models and Power BI dashboards that translate complex quality data into forward-looking, decision-ready insights.
    • Prepare concise, executive-level quality performance narratives for leadership and governance forums.

    ISO 9001 Audit & Certification Support

    • Support preparation for and participation in second- and third-party ISO 9001 audits, including evidence readiness, stakeholder preparation, and audit engagement.
    • Drive post-audit corrective action management, ensuring timely closure and verification of effectiveness.

    QMS Maintenance & Stakeholder Enablement

    • Ensure effective day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of assigned QMS processes in line with ISO requirements and internal standards.
    • Provide practical quality guidance, coaching, and support to business stakeholders to strengthen quality ownership and capability.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Technical Services Specialist

    Purpose of Job

    • To provide specialist and broad technical and process service support to customers by enabling them to convert Sasol’s polymers efficiently and cost-effectively to achieve short and long term profitability for the business.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Implement advanced technical aspects of M&S product strategy at customers, e.g. grade rationalization, grade improvements, new grades, etc.
    • Ensure that the objectives of technical service are consistently met and meet customer requirements.

    Senior Engineer Instrument & Control

    Purpose of Job

    • Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity solutions, as well as the reporting of Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity across Sasol & Natref Operations (SNO) in support of the Sasol Cybersecurity Programme.
    • Enable the Engineering Services Technical Support strategy with respect to providing Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering technical development and support to projects, and identification of improvement opportunities in the Sasolburg Operations Hub

    Key Accountabilities

    • Lead the development and implementation of OT cybersecurity based on OT cybersecurity controls implementation plans across the Process Control, Electrical and Industrial Control Networks.  Lead the development/updating of OT cybersecurity-related procedures, system and network architectures, technology selection, reporting and risk assessment methodologies.
    • Collaborate with Sasol, OEM and 3rd party OT, Cybersecurity and Information Technology (IT) stakeholders to assess OME OT cyber risk, recommend and implement OT cybersecurity controls, and to support OT cybersecurity risk and controls status reporting.

    Senior Engineer Process

    Purpose of Job

    • The role supports the Process Engineering lead by focusing on optimisation across the Gas loop value chain and plant performance improvement initiatives in the portfolio. Will contribute to team effectiveness by coaching junior members of the team on engineering best practice and quality review of design proposals. Subject matter expert for the process technology areas to deliver value addition. The senior process engineer will manage the delivery of Process Engineering services on Capital projects throughout the project life cycle. Develop and improve standard engineering design, processes and practices.

    Key Accountabilities
    Business Results:

    • Develop expert knowledge of the specific Gas loop plants, ATR, Rectisol and Ammonia as well as the Gas loop integrated value chain affecting the WAM area.  
    • Develop and implement plant monitoring systems capable to proactively identify potential deviations and risk to production volumes, product quality and equipment integrity.
    • Provide troubleshooting and optimisation expertise and guidance to deliver solutions to process plant problems across the plant technologies in the Gas loop value chain.
    • Develop and execute process engineering related improvement plan roadmaps, with focus areas on production volumes, product quality, environmental and safety impact, energy efficiency and feedstock efficiency. The focus will be on short term Volume Protection Plans and longer-term Continuous Improvement Plans with support from internal engineering resources, Small Projects and/or Large Projects P&E resources as well as Licensor input.
    • Provide expertise and guidance to deliver short term as well as long term solutions to technical issues.
    • Support key projects, especially value chain and wider business impact initiatives with complex technical challenges to optimise quality, costs and schedule criteria.
    • Contribute to the Capital budgeting process and the 10 year Rolling Capital Plan.
    • Support or lead complex incident investigations where technical expertise are required.
    • Support shutdown planning and execution. Ensure process integrity of equipment is restored and critical projects are incorporated in shutdown planning and executed safely within project timeline. Recommend improvement opportunities with regards to plant turnarounds, commissioning and startup.
    • Initiate modifications and capital expenditure proposals.
    • Carry initiated modifications through the design, implementation and commissioning phases right up to beneficial operation within business specified schedules and cost.
    • Ensure compliance with the MOC (Management of Change) system, Capital and project business systems (Project execution model, Sciforma, ARC, etc.). 
    • Support technical track delivery and process engineering front end engineering design of selected critical projects and design verification input on other projects.
    • Provide process engineering support and input during project execution through management of process interfaces between Operations, P&E, R&T and/or Licensors.
    • Apply Process Engineering standards and best practices, aligned to lessons learnt. Provide quality process engineering input to projects and ensuring process engineering governance is followed.
    • Measure and report on Process Engineering performance on projects.
    • Implement quality control of technical deliverables and provide quality assurance oversight to work overseen.
    • Review and or develop plant specific technical documentation like operating envelopes, mass and energy balances, baseline assessments, MFDs, operating/training manuals, process simulations, design manuals, and any other technical documentation.

    Princ IP Legal Advisor Trade Names

    Purpose of Job

    • Develop, advise on, and direct the implementation of trade mark, domain name and other related Intellectual Property services within the Sasol Group.
    • Manage Sasol Group’s IP interests and provide legal advice on tactical decisions related to intellectual property rights.
