    Operations Controller - Port Elizabeth

    Job Context    

    Servest Office Services, a division of the Servest Group has a vacancy for an Operations Controller. This role is responsible for generating, planning, routing and scheduling of all service work. The position is based at the Port Elizabeth office and reporting to the Branch Manager.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric
    • Relevant tertiary qualification  
    • Minimum of 2 - 5 years experience as an Operations Controller or similar role
    • Computer Skills essential (Ms Word, Excel and Outlook)
    • Experience in Cleaning/Hygiene /Logistics would be advantageous 
    • Must have good reporting and admin skills
    • Highly accurate and results driven
    • Basic HR knowledge

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Generating, planning, routing and scheduling of all service work.
    • Daily debriefing and issuing of all service advices, service stock and site specification instructions to the relevant service teams.
    • Ensure that all client and contract / outright sales information, scheduling processes in operations are loaded correctly in respective IT Platforms, and that scheduled dates are adhered to.
    • Control checks of all operational tools and equipments. 
    • Manage and control operational service staff issues (not limited to employment of staff, leave scheduling, over time scheduling, disciplinary issues, co-ordinating training and staff appraisals). All service related stock control, stock and equipment issues and management of all the washroom related stores including monthly stock takes and stock analysis.
    • Ensure that all stock physically received from main warehouse is counted and verified against the transfer document. Same should be signed and filed for future reference.
    • Ensure that stock issued for service is accurately picked against daily requirement per client.
    • Do vehicle checks daily and full vehicle reporting to management by the last working day.
    • Tracking and tracing of vehicle/ driver activity weekly and daily if required

    Security Officers Grade C - Midrand

    Minimum Requirements

    • No criminal record
    • Grade 12 ( matric) prefarable
    • Firearm Competent (Shotgun, Handgun and Automatic Riffle) - Business Purpose
    • Tactical/Armed response experience is advantageous
    • Police or Military experience is advantageous
    • Well Spoken English
    • 2 years working experience

    IT Technician

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • IT degree or IT Certificates
    • IT diploma or A+ or N+ or similar qualification
    • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure tools and services (Networks, Servers, Printing, Security, etc)
    • Experience in network admin and using network monitoring tools for performance tuning, trouble shooting and capacity planning
    • 5 years of related working experience,
    • Public cloud: Microsoft Azure preferred.
    • Own transport/car is a requirement

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Gathers existing process documentation and reviews with process SMEs, updates the process documentation if require
    • Respond to queries via the various IT helpdesk channels i.e. phone, email, portal and in person
    • Deliver stable, secure and agile IT infrastructure operation services which include but not limited to storage, Windows OSes, network, Information Security, VPN, IT monitoring and automation
    • Manage IT infrastructure including: the on-premise data center and server maintenance, network, storage and backup, and end-user devices (PC, laptops, tablets, phones, printers, conferencing infrastructure, telephony)
    • Contribute to the roadmap for the development of the IT infrastructure that is appropriate for the current needs and scalable for the future needs of the business
    • Follow the IT incident management process, proactively detect IT issues, identify root cause and restore IT services based on the SLA
    • Ensure high availability of enterprise platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact
    • Manage local applications including license administration, corrective maintenance, release management, installations and trouble shooting
    • Run and manage software upgrades and security patches as necessitated
    • Ensure testing of and compliance with the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan
    • Draft and update IT infrastructure operating procedures and knowledge base
    • Assist to manage 3rd party vendors for all operational aspects including service providers
    • Act as the primary point of contact for escalation of IT Helpdesk issues and for end users
