    High School Blended Learning Facilitator (SP) Temp - SPARK Randburg High - 2025

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan for, teach and co-teach face to face and distance lessons (both in the classroom and on the field) for and deliver academic and clubs lessons.
    • Actively assist students on all computer programs and ensure that the educational software used in the lab effectively meets the needs of students.
    • Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create personalised learning plans for students.
    • Assist with academic support programs and lead intervention sessions
    • Report all damages to hardware to the School Operations Manager and fill out relevant incident reports if needed.

    Qualifications and Criteria:

    • Grade 12/Matric Certificate
    • Studying part time towards a B.Ed Senior/FET phase (3rd/4th year) or PGCE Senior/FET Phase
    •  Specialisation in IsiZulu with ability and experience to teach SP specifically
    • Clear/Clean criminal record
    • English language fluency
    • SACE provisional registration.

    High School FET Learning Support Assistant (Temp) SPARK Randburg High - 2025

    Responsibilities:

    Scholar support 

    • Emotional Learning curriculum with scholars
    • Behavior management of scholars
    • Communicate professionally with parents and line managers about incidents, conflicts, or concerns that occur in the after school programs

    Scholar Supervision and Monitoring

    • Supervise lunch and break during the instructional day
    • School patrols

    Achievement enrichment school program

    • Supervise scholars during the after school program, ensuring play, and structured activities.

    • Assist scholars with clarifying and reviewing concepts taught in class, explaining processes and assist students solve specific problems.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • 1-2 years study towards an education degree, Majoring in English HL

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan for and be prepared to deliver lessons to students
    • Provide instruction in a variety of subjects and reach students with engaging lesson plans and resources.

    Social Worker - Primary School - SPARK Schools

    Responsibilities generally include:

    •  Individual Counselling: Provide one-on-one sessions for scholars dealing with emotional distress, academic pressures, behavioural issues, and family challenges. Develop personalised counselling plans to address each scholar’s unique needs, fostering emotional resilience and academic success.
    •  Group Counselling: Lead group sessions that focus on building essential life skills such as conflict resolution, stress management, peer relationships, and effective study habits. Create a supportive peer environment to encourage collaboration and empathy among scholars.
    •  Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate intervention for scholars in crisis (e.g., trauma, mental health breakdowns, or family emergencies). Work with school leaders and external agencies to ensure that scholars receive the care they need and a safe return to their academic routines.
    •  Academic Support: Collaborate with teachers and parents to identify scholars facing academic challenges, especially those impacted by emotional or social issues. Help develop strategies for managing academic stress, improving focus, and creating better study habits to enhance academic performance.
    •  Preventive Programs: Develop and implement school-wide programs aimed at preventing issues like bullying, stress, substance abuse, and poor mental health. Lead workshops and initiatives that promote positive behaviours, mental health awareness, and emotional resilience across the school community.
    •  Advocacy and Referral: Serve as an advocate for scholars’ well-being within the school environment, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Liaise with external service providers to connect scholars with mental health services, family support, or other necessary resources.
    •  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain confidential and accurate records of counselling sessions, interventions, and scholar progress. Prepare reports for school leadership and parents to track scholars' development and ongoing needs.

    Please note this role is on an initial 24-month contract (2 years)

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Criteria:

    •  Education: NQF Level 8 (post-graduate diploma or honours) qualification in Social Work. 
    •  Professional Registration: South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
    •  Experience: Minimum 3 years of counselling experience in a primary school setting, with expertise in supporting scholars’ emotional, social, and academic needs.
    •  Skills: Strong counselling skills with experience in crisis intervention, child development, and academic support. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with scholars, parents, and staff.
    •  Languages: Speak, Write and Understand English. Speak and understand a minimum of four (4) South African languages.

    Payroll Bookkeeper - SPARK Schools Support

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage general payroll administration activities.
    • Import payroll information into the system accurately and efficiently.
    • Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports.
    • Upload bank files for payroll processing.
    • Conduct systems administration related to payroll software.
    • Prepare audit documentation for both internal and external auditors.
    • Complete SARS submissions for mid-year and year-end reporting.
    • Handle Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COID) Return of Earnings (ROE) submissions.

    Accounting Functions:

    • Process monthly journal entries.
    • Perform cash book reconciliations.
    • Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis.
    • Collaborate with the finance department on all payroll-related reconciliations and transactions.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Criteria:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and criteria:

    • Minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, specifically with Sage 300.
    • In-depth knowledge of SARS and BCEA legislation and requirements.
    • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or HR, or related field (advantageous).
