    Library Assistant

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) Computer literacy
    • 1-2 years relevant experience.

    Key performance areas:

    • Communicate with new and existing users, establish the nature of the enquiry, issue registration forms, new membership cards and/or attending issues/return applying laid down procedures (inserting date stamp on circulation list, check condition of material, etc.)
    • Update information on the computer database of user details and access specific fields to elicit information on overdue books and proceed with forwarding notification upon approval Attend to special requests for specific library material, complete request forms and submit to immediate superior for approval and proceeding Photocopy documents, reference material and information extract from books for users/patrons
    • Collect and receipt payments, count and reconcile totals and forward schedule and transactional documentation to the immediate superior for approval prior to proceeding with the transfer of cash for depositing/ banking Shelve books accordance with allocations (fiction/ nonfiction, author reference)
    • Conduct stock counts of library material and/or remove and prepare/package outdated books for return Set up books displays, remove books and materials for shelving and arrange tables/chairs.

    Manager: Revenue & Income

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (NQF Level 7) Computer literacy A valid driver's license
    • Minimum of 4-5 years' of relevant experience in Financial Accounting at a supervisory level.

    Key performance areas:

    • Communicate with the immediate superior on specific Key Performance Areas (Meter Reading, Consolidated Billing, Rates and Tariffs and Accounting Recording and Reporting) with a view to aligning functions and objectives
    • Analyse the adequacy of current approaches, submit reports supporting specific provisions for consideration during the review and/or preparation of financial income/ expenditure estimates

    Clerk: Supply Chain Management

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A Diploma in Accounting (NQF Level 6) or relevant equivalent qualification Computer literacy
    • 1-3 years relevant working experience.

    Key performance areas:

    • Check transactional documentation (requisition, delivery, notes, etc.) against approved order requisitions and forward to for collation and verification Conduct stock counts, apply control counting methods to establish the physical stock items  Regard information of stock schedules, insert quantities against specific item codes and forward for verification and processing
    • Extract information to support query resolution, access records or contact suppliers and request copies of transactional documentation (delivery notes, invoices, etc.) Attend to telephonic calls or internal requests, assess the nature of the enquiry and provide routine information or refer the caller/ request to the relevant personnel for attention
    • Receive, collate/batch and check source documentation prior to commencing with capturing sequence Assess specific fields and insert information and/or, select specific options from the menu to adjust incorrect entries Batch and organize completed documentation for filling, insert references and codes
    • Select specific report options, view report selection and print reports Update manual recordkeeping system, insert processed document batches in chronological/ alpha-numeric sequences into appropriate files.
    • Attend to queries pertaining to the accuracy of data, access/retrieve and make available hardcopy source documentation and/or instructions to confirm system database information  Assess the nature of the enquiry and seek guidelines from the immediate superior on complex queries and information requests.
    • Extract information from the system or access/ retrieve instructional guidelines and records of discussions relating to the enquiry/request  Prepare responses based on the information obtained from the system, instructions and procedures and submit to the immediate superior for approval
    • Communicate and forward responses to the enquirer, provide explanations on the content of the response or refer further request for clarity to the immediate superior.

    Library Attendant

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
    •  1-2 years relevant experience Ability to read and write.

    Key performance areas:

    • Receive verbal instructions from the immediate superior on the work programme and/or priorities related to specific departments and/or communicate specific cleaning material requirements
    • Commence with cleaning sequence, mix and use chemical detergents to remove stains/dirt from painted/polished or carpeted surfaces Vacuum carpets or, sweep floors, dust and tidy desktops and shelves
    • Empty waste from collecting bins, load into refuse bags and remove to designated collection points.
    • Clean ablution facilities, mop floors and wipe ceramic surfaces, replace toilet rolls, towels, etc. and check and report defective items to the immediate superior for attention Remove and wash off debris from tools, containers, etc. apply disinfectants.
    • Place and stack tools in designated storage areas and/or verbal reporting the condition/status of tools to the immediate superior.

    Cyber Cadet

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A Diploma in Information Technology A valid Code B driver's license CompTIA accredited A+, Certificate N+ or CCNA Certification will be an added advantage
    • 1-2 years' experience in IT Environment working Ability to communicate in both isiZulu and English languages.

    Key performance areas:

    • Seek clarity from the immediate superior with regards to specific priorities and service delivery requirements relating to the provision of a quality service in the local area Promote and develop computer services to the public Administer the usage of the computer services in the Library Monitor PC, printer and connectivity hardware and software Ensure policies for usage and security are adhered to by Library users.     Foreman Water and Sanitation

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Civil Engineering or relevant equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6).
    • A valid driver's license 2-3 years' relevant supervisory experience in water.

    Key performance areas:

    • Plan the work in accordance with priorities, calculate and check materials/equipment and/or the availability of resources to execute actions Schedule, prioritize and allocate personnel resources, communicate specific priorities, workload and resource availability to the immediate superior and/or seek guidelines on alternative actions and, measures for execution

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A Diploma in Public Administration or relevant qualification Computer literacy Minimum of 1-2 years' relevant experience.

    Key performance areas:

    • Handle enquiries, bookings and cancellations for community halls, including processing application forms and payments Act as the first point of contact for the public, provide information on hall availability, rental fees and policies.

    Fire Fighter

    Minimum requirements:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) A valid driver's license
    • Completed Mandatory Courses as specified by the Department for Fire Fighter
    • 2 years' relevant working experience.

    Key performance areas:

    • Follow instructions/demonstrations and perform physical exercises and practical emergency applications in simulated situations. Remove and wash off debris from tools and/or vehicles using pressurized cleaning systems (hand held hoses) and, check procedural application or place/ stack tools/ equipment in demarcated locations/ vehicle compartments

    • Stand by a potentially life or property threatening situations with appropriate equipment to control the occurrence of events in accordance with instruction and minimize risks.
