    Pricing Analyst - L&H EMEA Regional Pricing Team

    About the Role

    • As a Life and Health Actuarial Pricing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in pricing life & health business in the UK and across Continental Europe. You will collaborate cross-functionally and with clients on pricing and product development opportunities, you will perform data analyses relating to emerging claims experience and monitor the performance of our reinsurance portfolio. Joining our team means gaining a deep understanding of the L&H reinsurance market and supporting us in providing high-quality actuarial input to cross-functional teams within Swiss Re.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support the development and review of pricing bases and reinsurance terms for new and established products
    • Ensure profitability of current portfolio is maintained in conjunction with our reporting and experience studies teams
    • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams on product development opportunities
    • Drive thought leadership and provide guidance to others

    • Our South African based Regional Pricing team operates within L&H EMEA. We pride ourselves on having a diverse team with a strong sense of community. Our leadership style is collaborative, and we work cross-functionally with our colleagues across EMEA, including pricing, client management, business management, underwriting, claims, and reporting teams. We like to have fun while delivering reinsurance pricing across a wide range of products in the UK and Central European markets.     About You

    Essential:

    • Good progress with actuarial exams and good knowledge of relevant actuarial and statistical models
    • 1-2 years of actuarial experience, and/or familiarity with reinsurance structures and retail protection markets
    • Able to produce accurate, high-quality results while balancing multiple priorities
    • Comfortable independently owning outcomes and driving projects to execution

    • Ability to speak or read another European language

    Global Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant (80-100%)

    About the Role

    • In this role you will accelerate the organization's dedication to DEI by promoting an inclusive culture where differences are valued, where everyone feels they belong and is empowered to contribute to business results. You will collaborate with key partners across the business to deliver the DEI strategy: amplifying, elevating, and celebrating varied perspectives in an impactful way.
    • Your key partners include the Global DEI executive sponsors, DEI Councils, colleagues in the business, HR Leaders, and the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

    You will do this by:

    • Developing global frameworks, solutions, and roadmaps to enable the prioritized diversity themes
    • Delivering on the key goals of the DEI strategy: driving inclusion literacy, embedding equity and inclusion in core people practices and focusing on three key diversity aspects (Gender, Generations and Race & Ethnicity)
    • Lead DEI global projects/ initiatives end to end and oversee effective execution
    • Establish relationships with key business partners: Human Resources, DEI councils, Global Executive Sponsors, Sustainability team, and Employee Resource Groups; to align Swiss Re's DEI strategy and drive execution of focused DEI goals
    • Collaborate across People Development, DEI team and Country HR Leaders on key talent practices and lead on inclusive design thinking
    • Acting as a facilitator, project coordinator, change manager and DEI expert to create impact across Swiss Re!
    • Researching external trends and recommending new practices
    • Providing visibility on DEI and the impact of our work by managing, analysing, and sharing data with stakeholders
    • Lead in creating internal synergies with key business stakeholders focused on embedding DEI principles on aspects such as procurement, social responsibility, inclusive workplace designs etc.
    • Responsible for recommending, reporting, monitoring, and steering progress on relevant external DEI benchmarks, positioning Swiss Re as an inclusive employer

    About you

    • Are you a team player? This role requires close collaboration and interaction with many colleagues and partners across countries and cultures, but you can also work alone and take accountability for delivering high quality projects and products at pace
    • You possess a strong commercial focus and a business focused attitude
    • You have in-house or consulting-practice in Human Resources and DEI. We are specifically looking for someone with a sound understanding of the diversity landscape and challenges but also an understanding of inclusion and belonging
    • Are you curious about future of work topics? Do you enjoy embracing ambiguity and have the passion to advocate for and amplify the voices of all individuals!
    • You can demonstrate a solid ability to create and implement project plans with autonomy and drive progress while operating within budget and resource requirements and with minimal or no supervision
    • Can you move with ease between being strategic and tactical - from articulating a vision to detailed execution?
    • You are digitally savvy and used to managing data to tell a story
    • You are a strong influencer and negotiator with an ability to influence behaviour change and drive alignment across executives and peers at all levels in a matrixed organization
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to easily build relationships, communicate with ease and impact, to aid effective execution of strategy
    • You have a degree (Master's or equivalent) ideally with a major in one or more of the following fields: Organizational Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Business Management, Engineering or Human Resources.
