    Psychologist

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

    • Render therapy/counselling to students (individual and groups)
    • Provide career guidance and counselling to students and external clients
    • Present life skills workshops and organise awareness campaigns on mental health issues
    • Administer, evaluate and interpret psychological tests
    • Train and supervise peer helpers
    • Travel to various sites of delivery/ satellite campuses to render services
    • Coordinate the psychometric profiling of first year students
    • Design, develop and implement programs in the following areas: Residence counselling, community programs, crisis/trauma counselling, substance abuse, life skills programs and peer educators’ programs
    • Undertake research and do needs analysis to inform program development.

    APPLICATION CRITERIA:
    Qualification and Experience:

    • At least a Master’s degree in Educational/Counselling/Clinical Psychology
    • Registration with HPCSA as a Psychologist is a prerequisite
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Psychology
    • Experience in Higher Education environment would be an added advantage

    Skills:

    • Written and verbal communication skills
    • Analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
    • Ability to plan, organise and manage projects
    • Ability to work with staff and students from diverse backgrounds

    Lecturer in Business Management

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

    • Developed learning material;
    • Lecture Business Management and related subjects;
    • Prepare learner guides and assessments;
    • Liaise with industry, professional bodies, and other educational institutions;
    • Supervise postgraduate students
    • Participate in community projects;

    • Undertake research, constitution, and community engagement duties;
    • Attend departmental and faculty meetings

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • An appropriate Master’s Degree in Business Management and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
    • The position is suitable for an individual who possesses a sound knowledge in the theory and application of management principles.
    • Minimum of two years teaching/lecturing or industry related experience is required.
    • A completed and/or close to completion of a doctoral degree will be an added advantage.
    • Evidence of research publications with DHET accredited journals is an added advantage.
    • Membership of professional bodies/societies is an added advantage.

    Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

    Head of Department

    JOB DESCRIPTION: 

    • The incumbent will be required to assume the role of Head of Department

    Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

    • Support strategic initiatives of the Division and ensure strategic alignment
    • Customer Advice and Support: Provides high level of customer satisfaction with delivery, measured with appropriate tools, e.g., questionnaires and focus group.
    • People Management: Evidence of support and leadership in communicating, enabling, and leading Organisational change as well as aligning the teams with strategic objectives.
    • Systems Management: Plans and manages the operations, infrastructure, and IT requirements of the department.
    • Resource Management: Compliance with budget parameters.
    • Research and Innovation: Provide leadership in research activities.
    • Policy Implementation: Development of Counselling strategies and plans to implement counselling policies, procedures, and systems with specific focus on professional leadership, counselling and career counselling.
    • Representation: Consistent attendance of relevant forums as required

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • At least a master’s degree in Educational Psychology/Counselling Psychology /Clinical Psychology/ Social work
    • Registration with HPCSA as an independent practitioner in your field or registration with SACSSP as a Social Worker is a prerequisite
    • At least 8-year relevant professional experience as a Psychologist or a Social Worker or a Registered Counsellor.
    • Four-year (4) year experience of working at Student Services/Student Affairs in a Higher Education environment.
    • A management experience within Student Counselling in a higher education institution.

    Lecturer Management/Financial Accounting

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

    • Academic leadership within the area of Management Accounting/Financial Management/Financial Accounting.
    • Teach and assess at undergraduate/postgraduate levels; Develop curriculum in applicable field of specialisation, influence the development, maintenance, and control in field of specialisation.
    • Research leadership – Undertake post-graduate research in field of specialisation, provide accredited research outputs, teach graduates and post-graduates.
    • Industry relationship building – Liaise with industry including consultation work/collaborative research;
    • Community engagement – Participate in community flagship programme/projects.
    • Internal process – Conduct ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line-manager.

    Qualification and Experience:

    • A master’s degree in Management Accounting / Financial Accounting or in possession of the CIMA/CA(SA) designation.
    • Possess a sound knowledge in the theory and application of Management Accounting/Financial Management/Financial Accounting.
    • Three years of tertiary education or related industry experience.
    • Research experience and output in DHET accredited journal(s) and presentations at conferences will be an added advantage.
