Job Description:

• Operate as a trusted advisor to the business by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with hiring teams, as well as function/country leaders
• Provide a tailored end-to-end talent acquisition service from initial briefing through to direct sourcing, screening/interviewing candidates, sharing feedback and facilitating the offer process all whilst keeping global SLAs top of mind and adding new value at each stage of the process
• Build strong talent pipelines by proactive sourcing of qualified leads using Visa’s employer branding across a mix of recruitment channels
• Coordinate with junior team members – Talent Acquisition Sourcers and Coordinators – to ensure speed and efficiency of the recruitment process for the designated region
• Work closely with your Talent Acquisition Leader to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pools and translate the data into insights that drive deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels
• Proactively promote career opportunities to Visa’s internal employee population in order to meet our internal mobility goals
• Participate in the rollout of talent acquisition related initiatives, fostering and optimizing programs such as the employee referral program
• Collaborate with People Business Partners and business leaders to understand strategic direction from both function and country perspective, and create talent acquisition strategies to align to company multi-year strategic outlook
• Champion diversity through the commitment to provide gender diverse shortlists to hiring manager
• Provide first class customer experience that demonstrates quality, speed and strategic approach

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience acquired in a multinational organization
• Experience in managing recruitment for multiple markets and functions, across all organizational levels
• Experience in all areas of sourcing – LinkedIn, local tools, social media, referrals, internal mobility programs, etc.
• Outstanding interviewing, communication, negotiation/closing, organization and problem solving skills
• Previous experience in gathering metrics and delivering compelling recruitment insights to the business using data and analytics
• Proven track record engaging and handling numerous internal customers and requisitions in a fast-paced environment
• Validated project management expertise including collaborating effectively with Sourcers, Coordinators, Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners

Job Description:

Key Geographical Responsibilities;

• Support the Accounting & Reporting (ATR) activities for a subset of countries within Sub-Saharan Africa region.
• Support and be an active member of the ATR function helping to drive the strategy and vision
• Ensure transactions are captured, recorded, summarized, and reported in compliance with policies & procedures, US GAAP, IFRS, as well as statutory, corporate and tax requirements (as applicable).
• Ensure timely filing of accurate local statutory financial statements ensuring compliance with local GAAP. Ensure consistent treatment in line with Global policies.  This includes knowledge and reconciliation of US to Local GAAP differences.
• Ensure timely filing of accurate indirect and direct tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT etc.)
• Work closely with the ATR team as well as other members in the Controllership space to assess requirements for change in processes and procedures. Initiate and propose procedural changes to enhance data quality and process flows.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
• Support the external audit process, help collect and coordinate the flow of information
• Drive efficiency through automation of business processes while leveraging Visa’s fully integrated accounting system
• Participate in projects aligned with the company’s strategy
• Support to assess financial impact of changes to accounting policies processes and other procedures applicable for the business

Key Results;

• Ensure accurate and timely completion for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Maintain accurate accounting records – compliant with corporate policies, GAAP, SEC, and SOX.
• Good understanding of process workflow to define/solve problems
• Effective communication with stakeholders to build strong relationships.
• Excellent project management skills to drive various projects to completion with minimal supervision.
• Timely resolution and non-recurrence of external audit issues.
• Timely and effective implementation of assigned projects/duties.

 Decision Making;

• Support decision making on appropriate accounting treatment for transactions in compliance with published policies and guidelines.
• Prioritize tasks within job and function balancing the need to meet tight deadlines and other corporate demands.
• Identify and suggest process changes to improve controls, productivity, or quality of work output.
• Exercise good judgment to escalate issues to ATR Leadership / SSA Controller along with recommended solution to resolve.
• Liaise and respond to queries from internal / external auditors, tax authorities and other finance teams with recommendations on action plans to resolve detected discrepancies.
• This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications:

Professional;

• Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA
• CPA or equivalent)
• 3- 7 years of relevant accounting and reporting related experience (ideally
• in a multi-national company)
• Hands on experience with US GAAP/IFRS and statutory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work well
• in a fast paced and high-volume environment
• Exposure to external audit
• Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is a strong advantage

Technical;

• Strong technical accounting skills, and experience researching and
• documenting accounting issues
• Knowledge and Experience of controls and risk management
• Knowledge and experience in SOX with ability to design process flows and
• draft policies
• Proficiency with Microsoft office applications – Excel, Word, Visio
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Oracle, Ariba, Hyperion and other
• related tools
