    Employee Relations Manager

    Job Description:

    • To provide specialist advice and support related to employee relations; continuously improving the quality, service and associated work outputs, contributing to and advising on procedures and processes that are in alignment with established practices, policy and labour legislation.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • 3 – 5 years relevant experience
    • Advance IR experience

    Education:

    • Bachelor`s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce and Management Studies

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and desired work outputs, advising on procedural and process improvements; enabling adherence to a set framework of policies and procedures.
    • Proactively identify process related operational problems, determine cause and effect and recommend improvements to solve issues based on previous experience and an understanding of the context of the problem.
    • Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to an area of specialisation.
    • Gather relevant information related to specialisation activities; collate and integrate into written reports for assessment or appraisal and present as an input to managerial reporting or decision making.
    • Implement, manage and enable fair employee relations practices, to enable workforce delivery related to business objectives.
    • Maintain current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including all applicable Labour laws and regulations, to ensure adherence to compliance and meet reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate with different business areas to provide employees with knowledge and awareness of relevant laws, associated regulations as well as requirements.
    • Identify, diagnose and recommend improvements and provide specialist advice and support; ensuring that solutions are appropriate and effective.
    • Provide training and development related to Labour law processes and the application of internal policies to line management and Human Resources practitioners.
    • Represent area of responsibility at the Bargaining Council and with associated CCMA processes to effectively resolve disputes.
    • Provide support to management in resolving employee disputes, including union negotiations, strikes, mutual interest disputes, wage negotiations, section 189/ 197 processes and mutual separation agreements, through consultation and act as a mediator to harmonise working relations.
    • Monitor and advice clients on the industrial or employee relations environment.
    • Advise on adherence to the application of labour legislation, conditions of employment and other related industrial matters and highlight potential risks.
    • Represent the organisation in conducting client specific union and employee-related negotiations, facilitating a favourable outcome for the organisation.
    • Ensure accurate client-specific reporting and trends analysis for all ER activities to enable comprehensive report submission to the team and the senior manager.
    • Ensure support to clients are executed within agreed client specific SLAs.
    • Comply with risk and governance policies and implement and provide subject matter feedback to enhance the development of processes applicable to an area of specialisation.
    • Implement, evaluate, monitor and realign area specific processes, advising on compliance and delivery within the context of specified legislation.
    • Provide advice and support to the business with the aim of mitigating litigation risk across impacted operational areas.
    • Adhere to financial controls, governance and compliance policies and processes throughout an area of specialisation, contributing to cost efficiency.
    • Participate in best practice forums and contribute positively to own and operational knowledge improvement related to human resources utilisation associated with an area of specialisation.
    • Contribute to the successful implementation of change initiatives by making recommendations for guidelines and requirements in support of the change specific to an area of specialisation.
    • Motivate, coach and develop direct reports, ensuring continuous development of human resources, creating an operational and process driven learning enabled environment.
    • Contribute to a culture of stakeholder service excellence in support of an engagement strategy, which builds positive relationships and provides an opportunity for feedback and exceptional service delivery.

    Senior Regional Operations Manager

    Job Description:

    • The Senior Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end SC functionality of Distribution Centres in the Region. 4000-plus staff members across multiple DCs

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

    • Gr 12 - Essential
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management / Business Management – Essential
    • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process excellence frameworks – Advantageous

    Experience:

    • Extensive FMCG industry experience, minimum of 8 to 10+ years in large-scale, multi-site distribution or logistics operations within the Supply chain, Preferably in a service-related industry
    • At least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role managing substantial teams and budgets.
    • Third Party Management - TES industry experience would be advantageous.
    • Exposure to unionised environments would be advantageous.
    • CCMA Conciliation and Arbitration experience is advantageous.
    • Excellent understanding of trends and developments within the labour market, TES industry, and applicable Labour legislation.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Agree Fill rate and Headcounts with Client every season and Budget period; 96% is the targeted Fill Rate per shift
    • Ensure that staff payments via TES and WFM is accurate and presented timeously
    • Ensure that Staff Development and Training is in place for all management levels. i.e. Supervisors and Managers
    • Ensure that the Succession Plan is submitted annually as per PDP
    • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed 100%
    • Ensure that all Employment Equity communication is shared with staff quarterly
    • Ensure that all PPE standards are adhered to as per Client HR policy
    • Protect Client assets, MHE equipment, Normal equipment (Cages and Totes) and respect for product.
    • Ensure agencies comply with labour take on and exit processes, tracking of disciplinary actions etc.
    • Ensure agency KPI’s are measured and managed e.g. shift fill rates, throughput, payroll queries and MHE etc.
    • Provide regular feedback to Agencies and Client regarding shift performance metrics/targets.
    • Ensure process compliance to WMS standards as agreed with Client
    • Review daily Shift Reports and formalize action points on same
    • Review weekly budget report to track agreed budget as per Client
    • Manage finance and compliance of all ICs and report to client on any discrepancies
    • Track IC budget management and controls
    • Support all internal and external audits
    • Follow up on all client queries via Clients Admin department
    • Work closely with Clients Replenishment team to ensure a seamless Inbound function
    • Liaison with Client Transport department on a daily basis to ensure store deliveries are actioned as per plan
    • Close working relationship with Client Planning department, Operations manager, SSM and Inventory Manager
    • Ensure an understanding of client strategy and action plans for the current year
    • Ensure Self- Driven team delivers on OTIF
    • Understand the needs and complexities of stores during promotion and peak periods
    • Understand supplier management processes via the Client Replenishment team
    • Minimize financial risk to the client
    • Protect client Assets at all times
    • Responsible for protecting the ADfusion model at all times.
    • Deliver on continuous improvement plans quarterly; Submit weekly forecasts on Staff expenditure to the clients GM
    • Manage budgets as per agreement with Client Finance Manager
    • Minimize MHE costs and Damages
    • Minimize claims from store level by ensuring Outbound processes are adhered to
    • Ensure continuous training of DC staff to minimize damages within the picking Environment
    • Audit TES statements and invoices on a weekly/monthly basis; Ensure that SHEQ programme as received from ACMS head office is implemented and adhered to
    • Support audit to manage SHEQ programme
    • Ensure staff training and appointments are as per SHEQ programme requirements
    • Ensure IOD management and adherence to policy
    • Ensure that SHEQ monthly reports are submitted; Along with the HR team, drive BBBEE and Employment Equity compliance within the Business Unit.

    Supply Chain Supervisor

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • Clear understanding of WMS
    • Experience in a Logistics and Distribution environment
    • Computer literate (MS Office)
    • 6 months or more experience
    • Must be familiar with WMS

    Education:

    • Grade 12

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Monitor attendance of all staff
    • Ensure all workers are wearing the correct PPE
    • Administer leave for all employees in the shift

    • Compile Daily complement report and send to ADFusion Shift Manager
    • Ensure all toolbox tasks are completed before the shift starts
    • Ensure the shift runs well and queries are dealt with timeously in liaison with ADfusion Shift Manager.
    • Ensure that process compliance is checked
    • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
    • Ensure Housekeeping is done at the end of each shift
    • Ensure Cycle count is accurately done on each shift
    • Ensure registers are completed every day for every shift
    • Ensure that staff admin is accurate
    • Ensure employees are paid the correct rates
    • Monitor the Clock in the Report
    • Manage Overtime worked and scheduled
    • Manage Incentives
    • Provide daily feedback to the Client
    • Attend daily planning meetings with the client
    • Provide feedback on training
