Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent will be based at Shared Services Centre, Weltevredenpark.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Completing purchase requisition and negotiate intend to purchase 
• Controlling, tracking and managing release strategies for requisitions for goods and services 
• Order generation and expediting of orders 
• Evaluating vendor performance 
• SAP Housekeeping 
• Conflict and relationship management by acting as agent between supplier and end user
• Supplier analysis and commodity execution process administration 
• Identifying potential Suppliers and verifying qualifications for take on as vendors 

Requirements

Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:

• CIPS (basic) or equivalent Procurement / Business / Supply Chain or Commercial diploma 
• At least 3 - 5 years working experience in procuring for the mining or manufacturing environment. 
• Exposure in a cement or construction material environment will be an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP (MM)
• Knowledge of inventory management
• Knowledge of procurement processes and Supply Chain 
• Analytical skills and negotiation skills
• Ability to develop solid sourcing skills 
• Team player
• Good communication skills with the ability to handle complaints and solve problems

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Responsible for preparing procurement KPI reports, spend analysis, procurement dashboards, housekeeping reports and ad hoc reporting
• Analysing spend trends, supporting sourcing initiatives and facilitating supplier performance assessments
• Supplier analysis/recommendations and administration of commodity evaluations and execution processes
• Manage SAP procurement housekeeping, including requisition and order tracking, exception reporting, and SAP MM user authorisation support.
• Assisting with supplier queries and master data requests
• Providing backup support to procurement team members.
•  Driving procurement compliance and governance by maintaining ISO-aligned processes, audits, managing SAP contracts and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting and assisting with BBBEE and Supplier Development initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required

• Grade 12. Supply Chain / Business or Commercial Qualification will be advantageous 
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in related industry of which at least 2 years in a procurement/administration environment 
• Good MS Excel and MS Powerpoint skills
• Hands on experience on SAP, SAP MM experience would be advantage
• The successful candidate must demonstrate willingness to learn, 
• Display above average planning and organising skills, 
• Team player that possesses high levels of professionalism and problem-solving skills.
