As a pragmatic team player with strong business process / data analytics acumen, you will be a key actor in the improvement and transformation of the organization, processes and controls.
You will be in charge of monitoring, promoting and supporting the deployment of the Internal Control system and Risk Management process. You will be responsible for the compliance with this referential.
Internal Control
Design / Implementation and effectiveness of the Internal Control system:
- Provide the operational management and process owners with adequate support in the design, implementation and evolution of the Internal Control system,
- Monitor Internal Control in the context of transformation projects (organization, systems) and propose / implement improvements through gap analysis.
Internal Control assessment and reporting:
- Coordinate the Internal Control self-assessment campaign,
- Evaluate the proper design and execution of controls through a testing program,
- Perform ERP control testing, evaluate IT general controls and access rights management,
- Report regularly KPIS related to processes and key controls,
- Pilot the consolidated Internal Control improvement action plan.
Internal Control promotion:
- Raise management and employee’s awareness and promote best in class practices,
- Provide training on IC procedures and core controls,
- Share best practices and work on transversal projects within the IC network.
Risk Management
- Contribute to build a dynamic, updated and shared risk vision with prioritized actions
- Coordinate the risk mapping and related mitigating action plans
- Coordinate the prevention of corruption
Experience and qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Internal Control, Accounting, External Audit, Internal Audit or similar position.
- Bachelors degree
- Experience in supporting transformations of organization
- Knowledge and experience in Data Analytics tool and ERP
- Has proven capacity to work in matricial environments and BSC organizations

In this position, the incumbent is accountable to define the maintenance strategy, workforce budget, training and qualification requirements and subcontracting policy according to facility type, equipment and process requirements.
Responsibilities include maintenance plan development and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for reliable and efficient operations, KPI tracking, budget/resource control, spare parts management, and regulatory/contractual compliance.
This position drives continuous improvement through incident/cost analysis. The role also leads standards implementation, training, provides technical project support, collaborates on improvement, reports performance, oversees audits and manages maintenance subcontractors, all to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure asset reliability.
- Define and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for industrial and medical customer installations (including TGM activities), onsite units, acetylene production and filling facilities, cylinder filling facilities and road tankers. Site maintenance is included in the scope.
- Develop maintenance plans, work instructions (WIs), resources, budget, and cost.
- Identify critical spare parts through Vulnerability Studies and ensure critical spare parts are available and replaced when used.
- Ensure the effective use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Manage maintenance processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as planned/unplanned maintenance, MTBF, TCM, and TCO, ensuring all activities are tracked in the CMMS.
- Participate in Communities of Practice (CoPs) within Air Liquide and local professional bodies (e.g. SACGA), analyze safety and reliability incidents, customer claims, and costs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the effective implementation of maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), programs, and plans in line with the overall strategy and procurement policies. Drive maintenance performance improvement through regional maintenance managers and ensure the Industrial Management System (including internal standards) is effectively implemented. Ensure effective training and qualification programs including artisan development.
- Support the technical aspects of offers and contracts, participating in investment committees. Define process improvement objectives and strategies in collaboration with Maintenance and Operations Domain Leaders, analyzing relevant performance indicators.
- Identify improvement areas and develop a maintenance strategy consistent with regulations (e.g., OHS Act, PER, GMR, EMR, SANS 347) and customer contracts. Define annual objectives based on potential savings and provide clear, concise monthly reports on CMMS data to stakeholders.
- Manage maintenance department internal audits and follow up on corrective actions. Oversee financial controls within the area of responsibility and manage maintenance inventory, including defining critical spare parts, minimum levels, and technical specifications. Manage EIS on CMMS and act as a Design Authority for projects.
- Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with procurement to ensure subcontractors comply with relevant Group HSE policies and procedures.
Educational requirements
- Education: Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) as advantage
- Valid driver’s License
Experience
- 3-5 years experience in people management
- 10-15 years experience in maintenance management preferably in the Industrial gas (or chemical) plant, road tanker and bulk container (isotainers)
- Knowledge and Know-how specific to the job

The Maintenance Manager will oversee, supervise the team of preventative and corrective maintenance operations in compliance with the procedures and regulatory. To ensure the availability of the plant by maintaining the plant according to Air Liquide standards and by applying best maintenance practices. Responsible for the Risk Based Inspection Management System. Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling all resources.
- Responsible for the plant maintenance and shutdown planning to minimize plant downtime and to ensure reliability.
- Ensure plant reliability & availability by minimizing both planned and unplanned downtime through effective maintenance planning and execution, Ensure reliability and availability of plant by carrying out maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Enforce OHS Act and Air Liquide Safety, Health and Environmental Policy applicable to maintenance activities.
- Implement IMS applicable to maintenance activities.
- Managing and communicating all technical aspects of the contract with stakeholders
- Budgeting and control of maintenance costs including purchases, stock and contractors.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
- The Maintenance Manager will oversee the writing of preventive maintenance plans, organize and participate in setting up a spare parts store; identify needs, define safety stock, define storage conditions and location.
- Document the preventive and curative maintenance interventions carried out and carry out equipment restart tests.
- Diagnose breakdowns on the fleet of production machines within the premises or at our stakeholders. If necessary, contact equipment suppliers for assistance;
- Replace faulty equipment components , including in a high pressure environment;
- Identify and execute corrective action to minimize the risk of recurrence of failures
Qualification
- Bachelors degree (and/or master) in mechanics or industrial maintenance
- 5 - 7 years experience

In this position, the incumbent will be accountable for managing customer relationships to ensure customers receive value and return on investment from Air Liquide products and services. Recognizing opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling through regular contact, including face to face visits, and monitoring of customer needs.
Identifying opportunities and setting up meetings with other divisions and/ or stakeholders in current Customer accounts, acting as a strategic advisor to all appropriate stakeholders within a customer account through continued research and detailed analysis to understand and anticipate Customer needs.
- Follow up and monitor customer queries and complaints through effective interdepartmental communication to ensure timeous resolution. Conducting and performing Cylinder Audits, report on Customer Satisfaction Surveys, recording near misses and tracking and assisting with collection of customer payments within defined payment window (Debtor Days).
- Establish open communication channels between the Customer and relevant departments within Air Liquide to ensure customer satisfaction, prospecting on a consistent basis through cold calling, customer referrals and networking to obtain appointments with appropriate stakeholders and conduct effective preparation for appointments and engaging in continuous research on: Customer needs, current market position, Industry opportunities and challenges.
- Following the Air Liquide sales engagement process in all interactions, including both telephonic and face-to-face meetings, Setting-up and executing meetings with prospective Customers to diagnose needs, create value and present solution offerings. Negotiating competitive pricing structures and contracts that ensures profitability for Air Liquide and effective service delivery to Customers.
- Construct financial agreements (Profit and Loss) and diagnostic findings on customer needs (Defining Customer Needs) for internal approval, communicate and negotiating price increases timeously and effectively to Customers, contributing to monthly sales related reports
- Reporting on contributor activity and information, Tracking sales performance against targets, engaging in consistent research to build a thorough knowledge and understanding of territory, current industry, market and competitor trends and developments.
