Job Description:
As part of this role you would need to take responsibility at an operational level for the planning and delivery of the project scope of work.
Some of your work functions will include:
Project scoping and strategy
Project resourcing
Plan, Implement, control and evaluation of project’s
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
This role is in Projects and is at a Band 6 level reporting to Senior Manager Engineering
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree / Diploma in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
Formal qualification in Project Management or related field advantageous
You should have the following skills and experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in any of the following area’s:
Engineering / Production / Construction / Project Management environment
Construction Management
Contractor Management
Mining and Process Plant and related operations environment
You will ideally have Mining, Process Plant, Logistics, Infrastructure experience as well as Enterprise Project Management Systems, e.g. MS-Projects, Primavera P6, Prism, SAP.

Job Description:
The Senior Accountant Operations will develop a deep understanding of the KPIs and cost drivers that impact our business performance.
You will also be responsible to:
Work side-by-side with discipline Managers & Superintendents to develop budgets, e.g., by providing insights into financial data and consolidating inputs
Support preparation of financial forecasts, taking into account past performance and forward looking risks and opportunities
Support tracking of discipline financial performance against plan
Collaborate with discipline to develop risk register, proactively providing financial evaluation (cost/capital) of risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate with discipline management to identify cost improvement opportunities
Perform quality check on variance analysis
Provide & discuss discipline-specific financial reports
Ensure that processes are established and standardized to allow for trend analysis, correct pigeon holing, feasibility studies, and cost control
Ensure application / adherence / communication of standard costing rules
Training, mentoring and support of all staff
This role is in the Operations Department and at a band 6 level reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager/Performance Manager.
Qualifications:
You will need the following:
Relevant degree in finance or related.
CFA, CA(SA) or ACMA will be advantageous
Experience needed:
At least 5 years’ experience in a financial or analytical role preferably within the mining industry
Managing a team/leadership experience
SAP (ERP) experience will be advantageous

Job Description:
As a General Accountant you will support the General Accounting Supervisor in delivering timely, accurate and complete financial information to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for supporting a robust control environment.
Under the leadership of the General Accounting Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for month-end close activities
Update and complete SOP’s process documents
On a monthly basis process all relevant transactions in the general ledger with special note on overdue items and making appropriate disclosures to the General Accounting Supervisor
Responsible for processing all journal entries into relevant ledgers and submission to the General
Accounting Supervisor for review in a timely manner
Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet by preparing general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and report on financial discrepancies and overdue items.
Complete and submit all relevant statutory and regulatory returns performed by the accounting team.
Execute escalation process to support effective service delivery
Assist in the preparation of the KPI reports
Support deadline management
Follow up and ensure that audit requests are submitted
Focus on recording, completeness and measurement of all transactions
Ensure controls are adhered to and executed
Drive adherence to safety
Any other tasks as and when required
This role is on a band 7'8 and reports to the General Accounting Supervisor.
Qualifications:
You will need to have:
BCOM Accounting Degree or equivalent B degree at a recognised institution.
Member of a recognised accounting body (Recommended)
Experience required:
2 Years general accounting experience
Accounting experience in the mining industry/corporate multinational environment. Eligible to become a member of a recognised accounting body. (Recommended)

As a legal Appointee, you will ensure the safe and sustainable operation of plant equipment and processes linked to your Operational Area of responsibility at ACP.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring adherence to the MHS Act, OHS Act, and GMR 2 regulations.
Management of the effective maintenance of assets, including planned and preventative maintenance.
Management and facilitation of shutdowns.
Ensuring adherence to site-specific and overall Anglo American standards.
Oversee plant, operational, and business improvement projects (within the limit of authority).
Effective budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
Display effective team and performance management.
This role forms part of the Engineering Department of the Anglo Converter Plant (ACP) at a Band 6 level reporting to the Section Engineering Manager, with multiple section reports.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Completed BEng, BSc, BTech or National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Power Engineering is required.
Current holder of a GCC Factories and/or Mine & Works legal ticket is required.
A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 5 years operational engineering experience within a processing related environment is required i.e. Smelters, Furnaces, Processing, Refineries and Concentrators.
At least 2 years people management experience (middle management) is required.
Project management experience would be advantageous.
Other Requirements:
All successful candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test.
Valid South African Drivers Licence.
