    Sales Executive - Germany

    • Talk to customers all over Germany who need to move big stuff (like full house moves or large items) and showing them how AnyVan can help
    • Build relationships, upsell, and close deals by making sure customers see the value in what AnyVan offers
    • Manage your leads and hitting your targets for calls, conversions, and revenue every week and month.
    • Working with your manager to tweak and improve sales strategies.
    • Sharing customer feedback and market insights to help us improve our services.

    What you'll need to succeed:

    • Fluency in the German language
    • A passion for sales and some experience in a customer facing role
    • Call centre experience is advantageous
    • A proven track record of closing deals and hitting your targets
    • The ability to build rapport and close sales over the phone
    • Great active listening skills
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
    • Resilience and a positive attitude
    • Super organised with an eye for detail
    • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken (German and English)
    • A proactive attitude and a history of getting things done at a fast pace
    • The ability to get to our offices in the central business district in Cape Town

    Senior Recruiter

    • We're on the look out for an outstanding recruiter who can deliver approx 100-150 high quality sales and customer service people per year. You'll be a candidate guru with some tried and tested methods to make sure we bring in the right people quickly and efficiently.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Manage high volumes of applications efficiently, making sure all candidates receive a fair and positive experience, from the first contact all the way through to their onboarding, regardless of the outcome.
    • Work with multiple channels to directly and proactively source, attract and pipeline, top talent, positioning AnyVan as an employer of choice.
    • Hustle and proactively source top talent for challenging and competitive roles and come up with creative solutions when talent pools are challenging.
    • Drive hiring quality and assess candidates suitability effectively against roles we're hiring for, acting quickly on strong candidates to secure top talent.
    • Manage and guide candidates and stakeholders through the offer management process to make sure we secure top talent.
    • Make sure Ashby (our recruitment platform) is used correctly so we can rely on the integrity of the data we use for reporting.

    Set for success:

    • We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience recruiting in a fast-paced commercial businesses, a focus on quality is essential, bonus points if you have international and sales recruitment experience.
    • As part of our small team, you’ll need a hands-on, can-do attitude. You’re someone who’s self-motivated and knows how to drive results.
    • You’ll need a proven track record of developing effective strategies and coming up with practical solutions to hire the right people, fast.
    • Even when things are moving fast, you’ll need to keep the focus on quality and attention to detail.
    • We’re looking for someone who can communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and influence candidates.
    • You’ll need to be able to commute to our CBD office 5 days a week (this may drop to 3 days once you’re settled in).

    Software Development Engineer

    • Our innovative tech stack is a key part of how we can deliver a world class service at market beating prices. By intelligently matching customer’s jobs to driver’s availability, we can better use vans on the road. This smart allocation allows us to constantly lower prices for our customers, while ensuring our drivers get a fair slice of the pie - all the while cutting miles driven, reducing waste and emissions.
    • But we've only just started! Over the next few years, we’ll be levelling up our platform, building tech which allows us to:
    • Better understand the cost to fulfil jobs, allowing us to price more accurately for our customers.
    • Build a deeper relationship with our drivers - becoming a key part of their workflow, and better understanding which jobs are a great fit for them and even explore new business opportunities.
    • For example, buying and selling non-AnyVan jobs between drivers to help them best use their time.
    • We’re an agile organisation - while most of our teams use scrum with two week sprints, we’re not prescriptive and encourage engineering and product managers to adapt processes to match their team.
    • We strongly believe in delivering business value, and our senior engineers will regularly interact with stakeholders from all backgrounds and seniority.

    The technologies we work with include;

    • We're a cloud-first organisation and use AWS
    • Back end - Java - with Spring - and Python
    • Front end - Javascript - using Vue.js
    • We’re not against exploring other languages where appropriate, with other projects using TypeScript. And of course, no scale up would be complete without a legacy PHP stack we’re slowly migrating away from! Well, no-one’s perfect…

    What you'll be doing:

    • Troubleshoot and solve software issues using the coding languages above to help scale and future proof the business
    • Deliver excellent production ready, logical and pragmatic code, following best-in-class agile processes
    • Communicate and collaborate working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to anticipate and communicate blockers, manage expectations and solve problems
    • Ensure testing techniques and frameworks are considered and champion improvements to

    Set for Success:

    • Experience working with our tech stack or experience working in similar languages with a desire to work in our tech stack
    • Genuine passion for the end product and delivering outstanding customer solutions with pragmatic, logical and maintainable code
    • Enjoy working with internal stakeholders to consistently deliver against key projects
    • An understanding of web development practices and technologies and tools. Exposure to e-commerce a bonus
    • Familiar with software architecture patterns, database optimisations, infrastructure, scalability and deployment
    • A broad understanding of the software development lifecycle and practical hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery & QA
    • Experience working in and driving an Agile development environment
    • The ability to commute to our offices in the Central Business District at least 3 days a week
    • Strong alignment with our company values
