    Invoicing Clerk

    Ensure timeous and accurate prime and supplementary invoices completed throughout the month and especially at month end. Accuracy is most important, which will ensure that all costs have been recovered correctly. Split docs and distribute accordingly, including uploading on eDocs. Quality checking to ensure all disbursements are recovered / invoiced. Arrange requisition for SARS payments, (customs exams / states warehouse, Provisional Payments, etc). Arrange requisition for handover agents payments and send to recons department. Ensure correct client's invoicing tariff is being autorated and posted.

    Transport Administrator - FTC - 6 Months Contract

    We are looking for 2 candidates to join our team on a 6 month FTC to provide a supportive role to the business, by providing effective, efficient and competitive logistics solutions to the business, which includes obtaining and negotiating competitive rates from service providers for BPL clients.

    • Support Business Units, Commercial and Estimates for solutions and costings with new destinations or any variances to standard rates available on file.
    • Obtaining rates from Service providers and providing solutions to the Business. Monitor, manage and report on compliance of service providers to regulations and service levels.
    • Administer the Primary Transport Product and support Business Units with execution of the Transport Product. Receive logistics enquiries from the business (Estimators, Commercial, Business Units, other BPL Offices).
    • Obtain rates from service providers. Negotiate rates from service providers.
    • Prepare and issue Sell and Buy rates to the Busienss for the efficient and effective logistics solutions. Understand the Hazchem / Dangerous Goods Legislation as it pertains to the conveyance of Dangerous Goods by Roads.
    • Cooperate with other departments and third parties to ensure operational excellence.
    • Attend to queries quickly and efficiently as per agreed KPI's.

    General Manager

    BPL is looking for an experienced General Manager in KZN to ensure completion of the inbound /outbound international supply chain to client specification and requirements.
    The appointee will optimise opportunities and maximise results, within the boundaries of appropriate laws, regulations, company standards and policies whilst providing solutions for various BPL divisions and clients. An experienced General Manager whom can identify, analyse and diagnose hindrances with an acceptable innovative approach for business excellence and strong communication skills will be fitting for this role.

    • Tertiary Education in supply chain would be advantageous
    • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience at senior level in a supply chain environment with a strong focus on forwarding and clearing.
    • Cargowise and MS Office proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage Financial and Physical Resources to ensure Business Unit Profitability
    • Manage optimal utilisation of current service providers
    • Provide inputs to the annual departmental budget
    • Grow the business portfolio rate
    • Design Integrated Supply Chain Solutions to Enhance Clients Competitiveness
    • Investigate additional value products and processes specific to client needs
    • Ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency control, approve and implement continuous improvements
    • Liaise with commercial team to ensure client requirements are met regarding existing and further client requirements
