    Senior Artisan

    What awaits you?

    • Breakdown resolution and technical improvements on all BIW equipment.
    • TPM, PM & H&S, SAP breakdown booking.
    • Responsible for allocated joining technology.

    Human Resources:

    • Support the team in achieving the Human Resources targets (as per TCP).
    • Share knowledge freely with all colleagues to ensure growth in team skills.
    • Develop training sessions and give the training on the specialised technology.
    • Take ownership for personal/soft skills development.

    Environmental:

    • Assist management in achieving the Environmental (ISO 14001) targets and conform to all BMW standards and procedures (as per TCP).
    • To ensure that all work is performed competently and in accordance with BMW  specifications, the OHS Act and ISO 14001.
    • To ensure that all equipment and work areas are safe at all times to prevent accidents or injury to personnel.
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance with safety regulations.

    Impact on innovation and changes:

    • Implementation and testing of  new standards to the advantage of the Plant.
    • Testing of any changes and correct documentation.
    • Idenifying areas of improvement and implementing improving projects.

    What should you bring along?

    • National Diploma.
    • Trade Test (Millwright or Electrical).
    • Min 5 years related experience in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance, in an automated production environment.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • High level technical and analytical skills.
    • Specialised knowledge and experience on automated systems.

    Process Supporter

    What awaits you?

    • You will be responsible to plan, lead, organize and control all aspects and activities within the specific work unit to ensure the hourly achievement of targets (quality, cost, delivery and safety) and continuous improvement through the technical supervision of direct associates, coaching and training of associates and all line activities while improving all relevant standards.
    • To drive of daily work organisation within areas of responsibility in order to drive effective communication within the production system.
    • To achieve hourly volume targets through proactively managing and initiating containment action, immediate problem solving and/or escalation when necessary.
    • To identify non-conformances, provide all customer concerns to the associates, initiate problem solving and implement robust processes to exceed customer satisfaction.
    • To ensure process adherence, optimise and observe core processes through daily process conformation to ensure stability and continuous improvement.
    • To control and contribute to the allocated section budget as cost per unit target in order for the section to remain profitable and cost effective.
    • To maintain a healthy and safe environment through enforcing compliance to JMS requirements
    • To ensure versatility within the team through coaching, training and development, and collaboration with associates with the support of the process leader.
    •  Ensure 4-eye principle is performed diligently.
    • During breakdown of tools, ensure contingency plan is activated while breakdown is being attended to.
    • Prepares and leads 5-minute-meeting with Associates.
    • Holds a shift handover conversation with counter-part.
    • Establishes machine start according to checklist, ensuring production capability.
    • Repair minor reworks online.
    • Raise near-hits monthly on PowerApp.
    • Maintain Process board daily.
    • Adhere to standard work for leaders.
    • Update attendance on App daily.

    What should you bring along? 

    • Minimum National Diploma (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Logistics/Operations)
    • Minimum 2 years automotive/manufacturing industry experience. 
    • Minimum 1 year technical specific experience would be an advantage. 
    • Minimum 1 year leadership experience would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of company policies and guidelines.
    • Risk Management.
    • JMS Systems.
    • Product/Process Knowledge would be an advantage.
    • Problem solving methodologies.
    • Leadership skill.

    Technician

    What awaits you?

    Quality:   

    • To support the team in achieving all Product, Process and System Quality targets and drive optimisations.
    • Ensure problems are contained and not transferred to internal or external customers.
    • Ensure all required records and documentation are retained and updated.
    • Ensure adherence to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
    • Responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and repaired to the required quality standards.

    Flexibility:

    • Support the production team in achieving the Production volume, by quick response to breakdowns.
    • Needs to develop knowledge and skills to ensure good support in all fields of the BIW environment (i.e. electrical and mechanical).
    • Ensure all breakdowns are resolved or handed over, any additional time at the applicable wage/overtime rates.

    Productivity:

    • Support his/her manager and implement measures to achieve Budget, Volume and Equipment Productivity.
    • Drive continuous improvement in technical availability.
    • Reporting breakdowns in timely manner using specified methods and systems.
    • Scope of equipment responsibility, all BIW specific equipment.
    • Fault finding on integrated systems.
    • Needs to develop advanced skills in assigned technology groups.

    • Exposure to Painted Body department.
    • Problem Solving skills.
    • High level technical and analytical skills.
    • Specialized knowledge and experience on automated systems.
