    Head of Human Resource

    KEY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB

    • The Head of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing the human resource strategy in support of the organisations overall business plan and strategic direction. This executive leadership role reports to the CEO and leads and directs the HR functions of the entire organisation while acting as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.

    MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION
    Strategic HR Leadership

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the companys business strategy.
    • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall company strategy and decision-making.
    • Drive organizational effectiveness and sustainability through innovative HR practices.

    Talent Management & Development

    • Design and oversee comprehensive talent management programs, including recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
    • Lead performance management systems and processes across the organization.
    • Develop leadership capabilities through targeted development programs.
    • Create and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.

    Organizational Design & Change Management

    • Lead organizational design and restructuring initiatives as the company evolves.
    • Manage change processes effectively to minimize disruption and maximize adoption.
    • Ensure alignment between organizational structure and business objectives.

    Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Establish and maintain positive employee relations across all business units.
    • Oversee employee wellbeing and wellness programs.
    • Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and initiatives.

    HR Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Manage HR risk and implement appropriate governance frameworks.

    HR Operations & Systems

    • Oversee the implementation and optimization of HR systems and technology.
    • Monitor HR metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
    • Manage the HR budget effectively.

    JOB EVALUATION CRITERIA: INPUT
    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    FORMAL EDUCATION

    • At least a B-degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
    • Industrial Psychology, or related field.
    • Masters degree in a relevant field would be advantageous.
    • Professional HR certification (e.g., SABPP registration).

    EXPERIENCE

    • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years at executive level.
    • Proven experience in a media, publishing, or digital organization preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives.
    • Significant experience in leading organizational change and transformation.
    • Experience working in a diverse, multi-faceted organization.

    • In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation and employment practices.

    Construction Support Manager

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Construction-related qualification (e.g., Bachelors degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field)
    • Eligible for professional registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACQSP)

    • Proven experience in a management role within the construction industry

    Business Development Engineer

    Job Purpose:

    • To facilitate business development and maximise company profits by ensuring participation in the target market

    Job Function:

    • Existing business is retained at the agreed percentage, and market share is increased by obtaining new business
    • Customer relations management database is maintained
    • Product and service proposals to customers are price and technologically competitive
    • Monthly presentation to management of market research and marketing activities in own area
    • Business Unit's market segment and market position are identified and developed
    • Improvement areas are identified, and strategies are implemented for added value opportunities
    • Immediate action is taken on non-compliance issues
    • Liaison with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
    • All expenditures are managed as per company policy
    • Marketing events and activities are arranged as per the strategy

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgical/Chemical)
    • A Sales and Marketing tertiary qualification would be an advantage
    • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience. Exposure in a Process Plant is advantageous
    • Good communication skills, aligns performance for success, customer-focused, persuasive, quality-oriented, builds a successful team and strategic working relationships
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • A fair amount of travelling is required

    Customer Liaison Officer/Expeditor

    Job Function:

    • Process incoming enquiries correctly and accurately using the Enquiry Review Procedure
    • Prepare and send quotations to clients, accurately and timeously according to procedures
    • Quotes and orders are correctly recorded on JDE and On-Base
    • Quote conversions and open quotes are monitored and actioned as required
    • Document control of multi-product tenders and send quotations for International clients correctly and accurately using Sales quote Procedure
    • Contact with key stakeholders is maintained regarding possible orders or status of proposals
    • Follow up with Clients and Frontline Sales personnel to obtain orders
    • All major quotations and tenders are followed up on and feedback provided to management.
    • Process incoming orders correctly and accurately using the sales order procedure
    • Orders are expedited on daily basis with production units and communicated to the customers.
    • All queries/complaints are handled to customer satisfaction
    • Initiate, monitor and review SHEQSYS System – logging and investigating incidents and compliments.
    • Prepare accurate and timeous reports, including: Quote status reports, High value quote reports, Open Job Status reports
    • Preparation, typing and distributing of minutes, correspondence and emails as required
    • Daily production meetings are attended and feedback is distributed
    • Monitoring of Emails and answering phones for the department and frontline Engineers when not in the office
    • Assisting frontline Engineers with quotes and queries when not in the office
    • Queries on debtors' book updates and expediting are handled to satisfaction
    • Commercial queries are dealt with as required
    • LDN/LO approvals as per customer allocation

    Qualification & Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • 3 years' working experience in an internal sales/administration or client-facing role.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
    • JDE (sales and inventory modules) will be highly advantageous.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, excellent attention to detail, good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to handle order inquiries, delivery updates, and customer complaints professionally.
