Main Purpose of the Job

• To supervise a team to deliver high quality customer service by installing and maintaining systems and ensuring these operate correctly

Education, experience and competencies

• Grade 12 + Certification.; Trade Test Certificate/Ndip. In Electronics
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electronic installations
• Supervisory experience/potential essential
• Computer literate, specifically with MS Office and Excel
• Installing: wiring, enclosures, antenna, machine units, alarm units, lamp room test units, tag installing; cap lamp and buzzer checks

Responsibilities

• Supervise team to install systems correctly so that standards and timelines are met
• Conduct site and system surveys prior to installation and quoting
• Ensure current systems are repaired and upgraded effectively on site
• Minimize damage to installed equipment by careful placement of units
• Ensure that wiring and installation complies electrically and mechanically with requirements of mine procedures
• Continuously seek better placement of equipment and improve range and coverage of the warning field
• Conduct site visits to assess and fix problems promptly
• Ensure that team responds promptly when failures are reported and ensure that repairs are carried out timeously
• Supervise team to thoroughly test equipment to analyze faults and ensure that equipment conforms to specifications as per installation manual
• Ensure that repairs and parts are ordered as soon as possible to rectify faults
• Provide feedback of failures and suggested improvements to Account Manager in writing
• Compile reports for audits on request by mines and complete administration as required (service reports, timesheets and COC's)

Main Purpose of the Job

• Prepares employees to accomplish job result by planning, conducting, and evaluating technical training/product training on all Booyco proximity detection systems, conducting practical training and assessment to technicians.

Education, experience and competencies

• Grade 12, Electronic engineering qualification or training qualification
• 2-5 years technical trainer experience. Mining experience an advantage
• Must be medically fit and willing to travel
• Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Prepares employees to accomplish job result by planning, conducting, and evaluating technical training.
• Product training on all Booyco proximity detection systems
• Conduct practical training and assessment for new and current technicians
• Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to job specification functions, work procedures and standard performance
• Design training materials
• Set and mark questionnaires and issue certificates
• Complete other administration and reports e.g. attendance register, feedback report, training records
• Set evaluation measures to monitor the success of training interventions e.g. improve quality
• Deliver training either in formal group classroom session or to individuals
• Perform any reasonable adhoc tasks and duties required by management
• Conduct training for mining staff on product knowledge of PDS
• Communicate frequently with area manager and account manager with anything concerning training and new development
• Train Implementation technician on new and old products
• Follow up on site training and evaluating implementation technicians
• Contribute to team success through individual effort and assisting team members
• Develop product role to perform role
• Read and show understanding of new product training material

• Weekly report on training conducted and progress going forward
