    Product Developer - Retail: Play Goods

    Job Description

    • The Product Developer will be responsible for building new product ranges and brands from the ground up, taking full ownership of the development process — from concept and sourcing through to pitching and retail execution.
    • This is a high-impact, autonomous role with direct exposure to the business owner and a revenue share structure that makes every brand the candidate builds genuinely their own.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The day-to-day functions include:

    • Generating new product ideas, concepts, and category opportunities.
    • Researching market trends, retail movements, social media trends, and international products.
    • Managing products from concept through to production and retail launch.
    • Coordinating development activities across multiple brands and product categories.
    • Communicating with suppliers and factories regarding quotations, samples, timelines, and production.
    • Sourcing new products, manufacturing partners, and business opportunities.
    • Coordinating packaging development with internal designers and suppliers.
    • Reviewing samples, artwork, mock-ups, and product revisions.
    • Managing development timelines, approvals, and launch schedules.

    Job Description

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid role with 50–80% in-office presence)

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Business Intelligence function, managing enterprise reporting capabilities, and delivering data-driven insights. The role requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, ETL processes, and stakeholder management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The day-to-day functions include:

    • Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to track KPIs and business performance.
    • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to extract, clean, and transform data.

    OVERVIEW

    • Our client is a fast-growing SaaS platform helping organisations manage lease accounting compliance under IFRS 16, FRS 102, ASC 842 and AASB 16. The business works with finance teams, accounting firms and enterprise organisations globally, helping them automate complex lease accounting processes through its product.
    • As the company continues to scale internationally, they are seeking a commercially minded Senior Digital Marketer who can own and drive the entire marketing function, with a strong focus on digital demand generation, pipeline growth, and measurable ROI.

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • The Senior Digital Marketer will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy, with a primary focus on generating qualified pipeline through digital channels.
    • This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. The successful candidate will own the full marketing lifecycle, including campaign planning, content creation, advertising, reporting, SEO, webinars, partnerships, conferences, and marketing automation.

    • Track and report on marketing metrics and create monthly performance reports.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B SaaS digital marketing.
    • Proven experience generating qualified pipeline and measurable revenue impact.
    • Strong hands-on experience managing Google, Microsoft (Bing), and LinkedIn Ads.
    • Strong SEO knowledge, including technical and content SEO and AI-search optimisation.
    • Extensive HubSpot experience.
    • Experience creating and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
    • Strong content marketing experience.
    • Experience managing webinars, digital partnerships, and external marketing providers.
    • Experience reporting on marketing performance and ROI.
    • Exceptional written English and content creation abilities.

    Advantageous:

    • Experience within fintech, regtech, accounting software, or financial SaaS environments.
    • Experience using AI tools for content creation, research, campaign optimisation, and workflow automation.
    • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.

    • The successful candidate should be equally comfortable analysing campaign ROI, building HubSpot workflows, briefing case studies, optimising Google Ads campaigns, and launching thought leadership webinars.
    • Most importantly, the successful candidate must be passionate about generating measurable business results rather than simply delivering marketing activity.
