We are currently searching for a Principal – Electrical Engineer to join a leading Architecture and planning company.  You will be a highly experienced technically proficient leader, who will manage our project delivery and mentor the in-country teams towards the successful delivery of detailed design of high-end building projects based in the Middle East. 

Responsibilities:  

• Ensure for all projects at the commencement of each stage that the full briefing documentation has been received and reviewed for completeness and handovers have been conducted
• Provide technical leadership and support to the engineering teams undertaking all Electrical Engineering packages
• Most importantly - strict adherence to the specifications of Middle East codes and standards.
• Responsible for ensuring quality is consistently achieved through the regular monitoring and review of work, which includes but not limited to;
• Reviewing design work carried out by the team is in line project specific requirements and Standards
• Provide mitigation strategies and enhancements to drive continuous improvement processes.
• Lead and partake in providing support, guidance, mentoring of individuals and the development of programmes that enhance the knowledge and capability of the local workforce, towards the delivery of Middle East project.
• Overview all work stage budgets for projects, through the detailed monitoring and forecasting of resource demands. Deliver work packages and ensure project delivery is in budget and provide mitigation strategies to address potential budget issues.
• Lead risk management throughout the project

Requirements:

• A recognized BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
• Significant experience of delivering major, high-end building project within the Middle East.
• Ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
• Technical expertise and experience of relevant local GCC design standards and codes to include, specifically, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
• Technical expertise and experience of European/US-based design codes/standards and Statutory Regulations.
• Proven track record in leading Project delivery and people towards the delivery of major Middle East Building projects.

Responsibilities:

• The processing and analyses of wind and solar data characteristics
• Optimization of facility layouts
• Manage the procurement, maintenance and configurations of data collection equipment and / or services
• Design layouts of access and internal roads, internal electrical network reticulation design map and data set creation
• Conducting site visits

Requirements:

• Aty least 5 years relevant work experience
• A degree in engineering (BS.c, B.Tech or equivalent as a minimum )
• A valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent communication skills
• MS Office
