    Legal Services Graduate Intern

    Minimum requirements:

    • Gr12 plus A completed Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized South African university.

    Knowledge and Competencies: 

    • Good Written and oral communication skills, attention to detail.
    • Ethical and ability to demonstrate professionalism, Information management.
    • Problem solving, planning and organising skills, use of technology, client and service delivery oriented, able to work as part of a team.

    Key performance areas: 

    • Reporting to the Snr Manager Legal Services the successful candidate will perform the following responsibilities while learning on the job but not limited to:
    • Legal Research, Litigation Support, Contract Administration, Compliance Reporting and Monitoring, Bylaw Development and provision of administrative support to the Legal services unit.

    Risk Management Intern

    Duration:

    • Two (2) years' internship contract. Appointment will be in accordance with the Conditions of Service of Ehlanzeni District Municipality
    • Grade 12 plus a relevant three-year National Diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification in the field of Risk Management, Internal Auditing and Accounting

    Knowledge and Competencies:

    • This role is ideal for an individual who possesses self-motivation, takes initiative, thrives in independent work settings, demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, can work with minimal supervision, and has the ability to collaborate with various departments and institutions

    Key Performance Areas:

    • This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of the Council Risk Management
    • Strategy; assisting in the facilitation of the annual risk assessment and compilation of risk registers; assisting in the integration of risk management with all management activities at all levels; ensuring compliance with related risk management matters as contained in the applicable legislation (MFMA, MSA, etc.); assisting with conducting risk management and fraud prevention awareness workshops; assisting in developing risk management and fraud prevention related policies and procedures; and performing administrative tasks and other logistical activities as may be assigned by the supervisor
