Job Description
- This role will report to the Senior Financial Accountant within the UT Manco Team in Old Mutual Wealth’s Finance team. It requires an individual with a passion for financial management, driving reporting timelines of financial results and execution on the business plan, while managing governance and compliance at an operational level.
- This position is individually accountable for achieving results through others, over periods of three months to one year.
- This role would deliver support to the senior financial accountant in the Unit Trust Companies. You will be jointly responsible for delivering timeous and accurate accounting on an ongoing basis to support effective decision making.
- It includes month-end processing, fee calculations, quarterly Group reporting submissions, regulatory reporting, supporting interim and final audits. This role involves collaboration and engagement across various functional teams.
Key responsibilities will include amongst others the following:

- Tax: preparation of Vat and tax information for submission to the Group Tax team, regulatory VAT and tax submission
- Independently responsible of various monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Completion / assistance with adhoc tasks, providing input into adhoc projects or analysis, directly within or outside of the broader business or Finance team.

- Responsibility for audit liaisons which contribute to timeous audit sign off.

Job Description
- The successful incumbent will be required to successful interaction and relationship managing between various stakeholders within the value chain, which includes (but isn’t limited to) the product- and fund-solutions, finance-, accounting-,valuation- and balance sheet management TFM (BSM previously) teams.
Key responsibilities will include amongst others the following:
- Innovation Implementation and Pipeline Management
- Lead development of new innovations and support business units and teams in new product and service initiatives, acting as a methodology expert and facilitator for the most-critical innovation across the company.
- More specifically, this role requires ownership of the specification of the liability and transactional reporting from the policyholder administration system to enable completion of all financial accounting, reporting and valuation functions successfully.
- This would cover new products/funds and enhancements to processes in place for existing products/funds either due to changes or to implement improvements.
- Responsible for the full life cycle of new products and specialised funds process i.e. onboarding / new business sales, capture of new business, advisor remuneration flows, money acceptance and transfers to custodian/fund accounts as well as accounting and finance reporting data, including tax and valuation requirements.
- Smooth integration of new products and specialised funds with the Policyholder Administration System.
- Refining and implementing improvements to existing financial and accounting processes (e.g. fixed bonds liability report and unallocated deposits dashboard across all OMW products).
- Monitoring all financial accounting, tax and policyholder processes and deliverables (specialised products/funds).
- For specialised products (Fixed Bonds, Gift-of-the-Givers, Hybrid Capital, Blended Annuities), manage key third party relationships (CURO, TFMBalance Sheet Management, Asset Managers e.g. OMIG and internal Life & Savings Product Teams (PF), Wealth Life finance, Policyholder Finance, Corrections Team (Servicing and Fund Finance) and Valuations).
Solutions Analysis
- Identify improvements to existing products as well as new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions to capitalize thereon, integrating and analysing relevant information sources and interacting with specialists in other departments.

- Define the execution plan to disseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, helping people develop these competencies and enabling them to innovate through solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
Portfolio Management

- The role requires that certain controls and checks are performed on certain monthly operational and finance reporting functions for specialised products.
- Review and release fees payable to 3rd parties and review journals for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor the Policyholder Investment Control account for all fixed bond instances and prepare journal entries to address corrections and ad-hoc adjustments as needed.

- The AML Analyst at OM Bank is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the bank's compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. The role involves monitoring transactions, conducting investigations on account opening alerts and transactions, and ensuring adherence to AML policies and procedures.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Monitoring and Analysis on account opening and transactions:
- Performing customer reviews on account opening alerts, as well as selected CDD/EDD procedures on a periodic basis; Review and analyse transactional data to detect suspicious activity patterns.
- Investigate potential fraud or money laundering cases flagged by monitoring systems.
- Identify anomalies or trends that may indicate fraudulent activities.
Investigation and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth investigations of suspicious activities.
- Prepare detailed reports, including but not limited to, Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for regulatory submission.
- Document findings and recommendations for remediation actions.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure adherence to AML laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to AML and fraud.
- Assist with audits and regulatory examinations.
Risk Mitigation:
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement strategies to minimize fraud and money laundering risks.
- Recommend process improvements and controls to enhance the organization’s fraud prevention measures.
Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with Risk Management, Compliance, Service Operations and fellow FRAML trailblazers to enhance monitoring systems and protocols.
- Provide training to staff on AML and fraud detection techniques.
- Act as a subject matter expert for AML initiatives provide insights to enhance fraud detection strategies and tools
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in AML, fraud detection, or a related compliance role.
- Familiarity with financial systems and transactional analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.

Job Description
- This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and financial education and to achieve lending, servicing, transactional banking and insurance sales targets through the marketing and selling of Old Mutual and its products.
- The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.
- Meets monthly sales targets in terms of lending, transactional banking and insurance.
- Servicing of existing Old Mutual policies such as facilitation of claims and attending to customer complaints and queries in order to meet the Net Promotor Score (NPS) requirements.

- Accurately capture all client information on Summit as per loan application and supporting documentation

- Explain the Loan Application Process to facilitate client understanding of the process
- Explain Terms and Conditions of Old Mutual Finance Products to clients
- Issue copy of Contract / Agreement to Client
- Print loan agreement for client’s signature
- Correct altered loan application information sent for rework and reprint for client’s signature
- Follow up on clients with 1st and 2nd missed instalments
- Meets collections and arrears targets in terms of lending products.
- Educates clients on responsible use of credit and effective money management
- Establishes a new business pipeline through internal and external marketing, lead generation and cross sell to customers to ensure the retention and acquisition of new clients.

Job Description Summary:
- Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire a Manager: Collections Strategy. The successful incumbent will report to the Head of Collections and ECM Strategy and be responsible to oversee the development of collection strategy and takes full accountability to ensure a consistent increase in the overall collections book, limit management, strategic campaign planning and optimisation of new and existing models, data sets and stakeholder relationships both internal and external.
- Responsibilties/Duties:
- Lead the strategic development of Old Mutual Finance collections function and think strategically about how to improve, optimise, and expand it to meet the goals and objectives of the business.
- Designs, constructs and documents appropriate models and strategies across the collections life cycle including implementation and monitoring.
- Analyse portfolio-level information to identify and monitor key risk factors, and root-cause, and develop proposed solutions. Code optimisation and reporting automation
- Target forecasting and collections scorecards - build and review monthly targets as well as tracking and analysis thereof. Collaborate with BI data team to ensure that dashboards are properly rolled out in Active Collections and that data and reporting is relevant and fit for purpose.

- Recommend and implement appropriate champion / challenger strategies to continually “test and learn” to improve portfolio profitability.

What You'll Do
- Execute investigations into suspected fraud cases flagged by monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Investigate suspected fraud cases: Act as the first responder for loyalty and digital fraud alerts, applying defined investigation protocols to gather, analyze, and preserve evidence in compliance with regulatory and forensic standards.
- Perform detailed case analysis: Review transaction data, identify patterns, validate facts, and determine the nature and extent of fraudulent activity, ensuring accuracy and completeness of findings.

Job Description
- To provide quality sales service that results in the production of business from new and existing sources which contributes to the profitability and growth of the company.
- Handle incoming and outgoing sales calls in accordance with predetermined schedules, campaigns and targets.

Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of Matric or equivalent
- A minimum 12 months’ financial services experience as a Financial Adviser
- A minimum of Long-term Insurance Class of Business completion.
- Completion of additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, the Regulatory
- Examination 5 (RE5), an FSCA-approved qualification will be advantageous.

Job Description
- This is a Fixed Term contract position. This role utilises expert knowledge in the specific fields of administration / product / process to resolve technical problems, usually in support of administrative queries/issues. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.
Documentation Processing
- Perform complex administrative tasks in accordance with SLA parameters, in a processing environment

Additional Job Description
- This role functions as a subject matter expert in a specific field of administration / product / process
- Often acts as a point of escalation for matters with higher level of complexity than those handled by Administrators
- May act as a coach for administrative staff. Often consulted for system enhancements and testing
- Resolves technical and complex problems, especially in support of administrative queries/issues
- Applies specialist knowledge in a focused role working with relatively complex information

- Assist with navigation on viewing of o/s, the status of the case, and submission
- Provide feedback on the status of the case until the issue
- Forward invoices to OM Fees for payments, follow up and obtain proof of payment, and forward to Dr's to obtain o/s medical reports.
- Reporting will be responsible for drawing compiling and distributing reports, such as leads, conservations, missed premiums, service treads, persistence, deferrals, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED FOR THE JOB)
- Matric/Grade 12
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industry or similar role
- Knowledge of Old Mutual’s products and administrative processes is required (Greenlight, OMP, Max Income, Max Investment)
- Knowledge of the OMP system for at least 12 months (advantageous)
- Previous experience within a processing environment
- MS Office proficiency
- Ability to travel within the region
