Position Summary:
- The Wireman is responsible for the installation, connection, testing, and maintenance of electrical wiring and systems. They work according to blueprints, electrical codes, and safety regulations to ensure proper functioning of electrical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and connect electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related components in accordance with blueprints and electrical codes.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and repair or replace wiring and electrical components as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes.
- Use testing equipment like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to check the integrity of wiring and circuit performance.
