    Production Manager

    Role Overview

    • Freedom Printpak is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager with extensive lithographic printing expertise to lead our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient production planning, effective resource utilisation, adherence to quality standards, and the delivery of exceptional customer service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and control all production functions in line with workflow processes, work instructions, and the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000, FSC).
    • Collaborate with the internal planner to develop and execute production schedules aligned with forecasts and customer orders.
    • Monitor output, optimise machine capacity, and implement lean manufacturing principles to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive research and development in the lithographic division.
    • Manage WIP and stock levels to prevent shortages and machine downtime, ensuring all stocktakes and cycle counts are accurate.
    • Ensure all production documentation, job cards, and master samples are completed, signed, and stored in accordance with SOPs.
    • Maintain compliance with OHSE standards and environmental requirements.
    • Motivate, train, and evaluate staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a high-performance culture.
    • Control operational costs to maintain profitability.

    Job Requirements

    • BTech Degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering (essential).
    • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in lithographic printing.
    • Minimum 3 years in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of Syspro, Megasoft, Seamcor, Quick Easy, and LEAN manufacturing principles.
    • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000 V6, FSC, and health, safety & environmental compliance.
    • Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    GRV Clerk

    About the Role:

    • Freedom Printpak is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Requisition and GRV Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase requisitions, verifying goods received, and ensuring accurate record-keeping to support procurement and inventory processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process and track purchase requisitions from various departments.
    • Verify and record Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) accurately.
    • Ensure all goods received match the purchase orders and documentation.
    • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
    • Maintain and update procurement and inventory records.

    Wip Controller

    Job Description

    • Freedom Printpak is seeking a WIP Controller to manage and control Work-in-Progress (WIP) stock across production departments. The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock issuing and returns between departments, monitor consumable usage, and maintain proper stock records in line with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.

    Job Requirements
    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and control WIP stock within production areas to ensure accurate storage, movement, and usage.
    • Issue WIP stock to production departments as per schedules and reconcile issued versus returned stock.
    • Monitor and control consumables such as inks, coatings, and packaging materials.
    • Conduct daily cycle counts, investigate variances, and participate in monthly stock takes.
    • Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors and Operators to ensure timely stock availability.
    • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
    • Promote health, safety, and housekeeping standards in WIP areas.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
    • 2–3 years’ experience in warehouse or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or print/packaging environment.
    • Strong understanding of WIP and inventory control principles.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP/WMS systems.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 compliance will be an advantage.
    • Good communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

    Inventory Controller

    Job Description

    • Freedom Printpak is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all inventory records and stock control processes across all warehouses. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting production continuity, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.

    Job Requirements
    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a structured cycle count plan across all warehouse locations.
    • Conduct and oversee regular spot checks and stock reconciliations to maintain stock integrity.
    • Verify and approve formal stock counts in accordance with company procedures.
    • Reconcile system stock records with physical inventory and investigate discrepancies.
    • Ensure all stock movements (receipts, issues, transfers, returns) are accurately recorded and traceable.
    • Monitor warehouse compliance with inventory control procedures and report non-conformances.
    • Prepare and distribute accurate inventory reports and analyze data for trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Administration teams to maintain accurate stock traceability.
    • Complete board and material forecasts to support production planning and ensure material availability.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations (preferred).

    • Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies (cycle counts, stock reconciliations, variance analysis).
    • Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Syspro).

    Industrial Engineer

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analysing, optimizing, and enhancing production processes. This includes improving workflow efficiency, resource utilization, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.     Job Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (Essential).
    • Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment as an Industrial Engineer.
    • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and production planning.
    • Experience with time studies, work standards, and business process improvement.
