    General Manager for the Financial Services Consumer Education Foundation

    Key Performance Areas:

    • With input from the Board of Trustees of the Foundation (the Board) and the Consumer Education Department of the FSCA (CED), develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan aligned with the Foundation’s mandate and the FSCA’s consumer education objectives, monitor and report on implementation progress.
    • Design and implement a structured donor acquisition, growth, and retention strategy to diversify revenue streams and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the Foundation.
    • Position funded programmes to align with Financial Sector Code (FSC) B-BBEE Consumer Education (Guidance Note 500) and Socio-Economic Development requirements, enhancing the value proposition for financial institution and corporate donors and partners.
    • Work with the CED to develop customised, impact-driven funding proposals, aligned with corporate strategic priorities, regulatory and FSC GN 500and/or the FSRA conduct standard and other compliance requirements, sector development objectives, and funding capacity.
    • Report directly to the Board through the Chairperson of the Foundation, providing strategic updates on organisational performance, compliance, financial sustainability, and programme impact.
    • Oversee organisational risk management processes, including the maintenance and monitoring of the enterprise risk register.
    • Develop and manage the Foundation’s annual income and expenditure budgets to ensure financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board, donors, regulators, financial institutions, implementation partners, and FSCA staff supporting the Foundation.
    • Manage and mentor the Administrative Coordinator, the GM’s direct report.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree/post-graduate qualification in finance, business management, marketing, social development, i.e. a suitable field.
    • Five to ten years’ experience in a senior management/leadership position in stakeholder management, fundraising, and/or marketing, and in report and proposal writing.

    Divisonal Executive Retirement Fund Supervision Divison

    Key Performance Areas: 

    • The Divisional Executive leads the group responsible for the efficient administration of FSCA's responsibilities relating to the supervision of retirement funds and retirement benefit administrators.

    The candidate will:

    • Provide advice on the regulatory framework for retirement funds to FSCA Divisions FSCA Divisions, the FSCA Executive and relevant policy departments.
    • Take full management responsibility for supervising the conduct and financial soundness of retirement funds and benefit administrators.
    • Ensure that the efficient and effective administration of FSCA decisions in relation to retirement funds, including the registration, merger, transfer, resolution and cancellation of retirement funds and their rules, 
    • Ensure all registered Retirement Funds under FSCA supervision are compliant with sound corporate governance practices.
    • Represent the FSCA at international standard setting bodies. 

    Requirements

    • A Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Commerce or Law, Business Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics or other similar relevant discipline.
    • At least 13 years' experience in the financial sector, of which 5 years must be in a senior regulatory and client-facing role, as well as specialised experience in and knowledge of leading risk-based supervision in the financial sector.

    Data Services Manager ICT: Data Management Department

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Drive implementation of data projects and initiatives. 
    • Responsible for supporting and implementing required data services in line with the DAMA framework.
    • Drive the Data Quality Management program.
    • Support the implementation of controls as required by the data governance framework, data quality framework and the data management framework.
    • Develop control structures within the environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
    • Manage, monitor and report on data governance compliance as well as data quality.
    • Implement a business glossary.
    • Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
    • Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
    • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and ICT.
    • Implement a data asset catalogue.
    • Ensure the right information is available to the right stakeholders at the right time in support of the organization’s objectives.
    • Ensure that information is available only to authorized parties and that its use does not put customers, partners, employees, or the brand in harm’s way.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree information-technology, business, or related equivalent, with more than 10 years of relevant experience in at least 5 years of data management experience or equivalent, including experience in Business Analysis, financial services and data quality. DAMA certification will be an added advantage.

    Departmental Assistant ICT Operations Department

    Key Performance Areas:

    Render secretarial and administrative support to the Department.
    Take minutes of meetings as and when required.
    Maintain files and records using effective filing systems.
    Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders as required.
    Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
    Perform all additional functions ordinarily required of a secretary, including but not limited to the preparation of forms and other standard documents for submission to committees.
    Perform general office administrative functions required for the effective operation of the ICT Division and assist with ICT Helpdesk support and customer-related queries.
    Advise users on the correct processes to follow when requesting ICT services (e.g. SLAs).
    Follow up on project-related matters with stakeholders and track progress on action items discussed in meetings.
    Draft and/or review memoranda.
    Capture budget items, create requisitions, and manage invoices.
    Follow up on document reviews to ensure timeous finalization.
    Liaise with the Problem Manager and Operations Manager regarding system disruption notifications and communications to VIPs (e.g. EO’s Office) and other major business-impacting incidents.
    Support other teams with various administrative tasks when required (e.g. redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings, etc.).
     

    Requirements

    • A National Diploma in Business Administration or a related degree, with at least two (2) years’ relevant full-time experience as an Office Administrator in an IT environment. The candidate must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and other modern, commonly used office software applications.
    • The candidate must have experience working in a team environment and collaborating with colleagues to develop solutions to complex business problems. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. A basic understanding of budget administration and the creation of requisitions is required. A basic understanding of the ICT function will be an added advantage.
