    Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 (PN- A5) Medicine & Psychiatry(Medical Outpatients)

    Requirements :

    • Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma or degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.

    Speech Therapist / Speech And Audiologist Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Qualification in Speech Therapy or Speech Therapy & Audiology, Independent practice registration with HPCSA. Current registration with the HPCSA for 2025/2026

    Competencies:

    Chief Audiologist Grade 1 (Re-Advertisement)

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Audiology or Speech Therapy and Audiology.
    • 3 years’ experience in Audiology practice.
    • Current registration with the HPCSA for 2025/2026 as Audiologist. Completion of a short course in Additional Licensing in Cochlear Implants and experience in cochlear implant assessment and management will be added advantage.

    • This role includes the implementation and review of evidence-based protocols and procedures, regular clinical monitoring of service provision and the ongoing development of services.
    • To take on role of Team Leader of Implantable Hearing Devices, including cochlear implant and acoustic implants. Reportable to the Assistant Director of Speech Therapy and Audiology. Team leader role includes budgeting and demand plan generation. Excellent teamwork and conflict management skills.
    • To work within a multidisciplinary team within professional boundaries.     Social Worker Grade 1 -3

    Requirements :

    • A recognized four-year Degree in Social work. Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions and proof of current registration. Knowledge/experience regarding Health Care Social Work.

    Medical Registrar - Internal Medicine

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 with MBChB or equivalent qualification that allows registration with HPCSA. Registered with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner. Applicants must have an interest in Internal Medicine.
    • The post is a combined training position between Kalafong Provincial tertiary Hospital and the University of Pretoria. The successful candidate will be expected to work in Internal Medicine for four (4) years and will have to perform after hour calls. Preference will be given to South African citizens and candidates who already completed part one (1) of the FCP examination.
    • All registrars will be expected to register as MMEd student at the University of Pretoria and will have to complete a research project in a field of his/her choices in internal medicine.

    Duties :

    • The successful candidate will be expected to do daily ward rounds, seeing all patients allocated to him or her and making daily clinical notes in patient records. Actively seeing patients on calls. Effectively supervising juniors.

    Requirements :

    Medical Specialist Neurology

    Head Of The Department

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery. Current registration with HPCSA for 2025/2026.
    • A minimum of three (3) years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery.

    • To collaborate and assist the Director of Clinical Services at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and the Cluster Hospitals whenever needed, in service delivery, teaching and training as an outreach programme.
    • Ensure that appropriate, ethical, and quality research is performed in the department as part of a wider agenda to explore improvements in health care in the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital region and South Africa as a whole with publication of the results in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
    • As part of the University’s responsibility, ensure sufficient and high-quality teaching be provided to undergraduate students and postgraduates students.
    • Participate in the Fellowship examinations of the College of Surgeons of South Africa and assist the HPCSA in its accreditation of Neuro-surgery care provision in the cluster.
