    Field Sales Specialist - Cape Town

    Trade areas:

    Cape Town – Northern Suburbs.

    • We need HUNTERS who will actively source and find new sales opportunities, build a sales pipeline and most importantly, close deals.  If you enjoy a fast paced environment and love a challenge, then keep reading on...

    In addition to the above, you will:

    • Prospect and canvass for new customers in targeted areas and targeted industries
    • Post-sale call and follow ups, logging all activity and demos with clients         
    • Promotional or new product upsell/cross sell/service calls
    • Research new sales leads, plan country trips and execute plans to acquire new customers
    • Ensure all set company Gross Profit, Device sales and Demo targets are achieved on a monthly & quarterly basis
    • Complete feedback loops as required which includes Swarm and demo feedback and HubSpot usage and deal pipeline management
    • Provide proactive feedback regarding suggested changes or improvements to sales or service procedures that could improve the business                     
    • Sign-up merchants and assist them with FICA documentation required
    • Complimentary follow up visits
    • Full focus on specialized campaigns and reporting in detail on this such as top merchant campaign or area targeted campaigns
    • Uphold company standards and values at all times when representing the brand
    • Monitor competition in the marketplace and share any relevant insights
    • Take full ownership and accountability for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, offering solutions and making recommendations to management.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing self and shared learning.

    Qualifications

    • Completed Matric

    Deal breakers:

    • Minimum 3 year’s Field/Outbound Sales experience.
    • Previous exposure working within merchant services or banking sector is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.                            
    • Intermediate knowledge using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Software & CRM.            
    • FICA training advantageous.                             
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.

    Customer Service Consultant

    So, what will you do? 

    • As a Customer Service Consultant you will be the vital link between new and existing merchants and the various internal departments, assisting with complaints resolution and any queries via calls, emails, social media, chat channels and tickets (inbound or outbound channels),as set out by an assigned campaign, such as, onboarding, orders, deliveries, cancellations/retentions, refunds, exchanges, settlement queries, merchant accounts, billing, statements, technical hardware support, software and all other product queries.

    In addition to the above, you will: 

    • Professionally handle requests from merchants and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly according to iKhokha Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Target First call resolution where applicable.
    • Manage and take ownership of Merchant Complaints, and drive resolution through to completion.
    • Product & Technical support (Device troubleshooting): Ensure thorough technical troubleshooting is performed to resolve merchant issues.
    • Educate merchants on how to utilize products purchased and benefits included.
    • Efficiency and accuracy: Respond to merchant queries promptly, professionally and with Empathy.
    • Ensure each interaction is helpful and drives value to the merchant.
    • Customer satisfaction: Achieve positive reviews post service interactions.
    • Ensure that the follow up process is adhered to, and that feedback is always provided to the Merchant.
    • Ensure that call and ticket Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met as defined with the Team Lead and Line Manager.
    • Processing of orders, applications and requests.
    • Adhere to Company Policy and Processes.
    • Feedback loop to Team Leads (TLs) regarding customer feedback, pain points, common issues and feature requests.
    • Escalations: Escalate Urgent Queries which require input from Senior Management or the Product Team. Ensure proper escalations when any systems or tools are down and that proper communication is rendered to the Team Lead and Line Manager.
    • Data capturing and admin processes: Ensure attention to detail when capturing merchant information and submitting personal info/docs.

    Qualifications

    • Matric/ Grade 12 or higher

    • 1+ years of customer service or call centre experience.
    • Experience in using a CRM tool for managing customers. 
    • Proficient at Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet usage.

    Senior Software Engineer

    Job Description

    • We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who’s ready to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and build tech that makes a real impact for small businesses in South Africa.
    • If you’re a chance‑taker with a passion for crafting high‑quality solutions in a fast‑moving FinTech environment, you might just be made to make it with us.

    So, what will you do? 

    • You will be a part of building new technologies, maintaining existing technologies as well as testing various systems within the FinTech space.
    • You will also be working in an Agile environment within a collaborative cross-functional Team, reporting into the Software Development Manager.

    In addition to the above, you will: 

    • Developing crispy new user-facing features that drive our users to take action, using Typescript, React.js, HTML5 and CSS.
    • Responsible for the end-to-end development of FinTech systems, including: initial planning, development, writing test cases, creating the deployment pipeline and deploying to our cloud hosting provider.
    • Ensuring that code developed is of the highest standards through the adherence to Engineering Principles, Pull Request Standards and Definitions of Done.
    • Ensuring that development has sufficient Code coverage through the creation of Unit test.
    • Ensuring that code adheres to “Clean as you code standard“.
    • Creating, reading, maintaining, interpreting, updating and reviewing documentation.
    • Helping other engineers to grow through effective mentorship.
    • Ensuring that the team and stakeholders are communicated too effective and efficiently through Pull Requests, Jira Tickets, Slack and Confluence.
    • Imparting valuable knowledge to the engineering team at large through knowledge sharing sessions.

    Qualifications

    The following would be advantageous:

    • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

    Deal Breakers:

    Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the following:

    • Working within an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban methods.
    • Version Control experience whereby you have worked in Engineering Team (with developers of various levels) with a version control system such as GitHub.
    • Development Environments experience whereby you have worked in Engineering Teams (with developers of various levels) within multiple environments for Development, Testing and Production; including Branching Strategies.
    • Experience with Technical Leadership whereby you have led a Software Engineering Team (with developers of various levels) and been involved in Technical Leadership, Code Quality, Code Standards, Code Security, System and Code Performance. This includes leading and participating in Code Reviews for your own team as well as those in other teams.
    • Experience with creating, maintaining and reviewing documentation.
    • Experience with designing and implementing various architectural layers: for example Presentation, Application, Service, Integration and Database layers.
