IPBR advises clients in assessing, designing, integrating and monitoring all aspects of their organisational security processes, ensuring that these processes are well defined, managed and optimised in order to mitigate information risk and release value from information security.

Information Protection Services Focuses On The Governance And Technical Facets Of Information Security, And Services Include The Following, Amongst Others

• Designing Information Security governance structures
• Information Security governance assessments and/or implementations
• Vulnerability assessments across various architectures and platforms
• Penetration testing across various architectures and platforms

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

• Supervision and mentoring of junior staff members, reviewing work, etc.
• Assist in compiling project / engagement plans, budgets, controlling billing, etc.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in defined fields
• Providing advice and recommendations to mitigate risks and release value from IT.
• Documentation of findings and developing recommendations based on aligning best practice and client business requirements.
• Client relationship management and business development.

Critical Technical Skills or competencies

Skills
One or more of the following skills would be advantaged

• IT / Internal Audit experience, with special interest in IT Security
• IT security governance knowledge and understanding (Cobit, ITIL, ISO)
• Ability to track down process / system security risks to root cause and advise on improvements / solutions.
• Technical background in information security:
• Penetration testing / vulnerability management assessments
• Security infrastructure testing (physical, application, logical access, etc.)
• Information security standards design and implementations
• Cloud computing (background from a security perspective)
• Information security strategy design and governance assessments
• Information security management experience (records retention, information architecture, etc)
• Identity and access management implementations and reviews
• Data classification

Qualifications And Experience

• B degree (BComm / BSc) or other information security related degree required.
• A good understanding of general business issues
• CISA / CISM / CISSP is an advantage
• CPTE – Certified Penetration Testing Engineer
• Experience in IT audit and risk management advisory, with a special interest in IT Security.

Purpose Of The Job

• KPMG’s Technology Enablement practice assists clients in understanding and unlocking value from their IT investments, with a specific focus on:
• Development and assistance in the execution of business-aligned IT strategies;
• Deployment of end-to-end business intelligence (BI) solutions including BI strategy development, strategy execution assistanceand deployment of business intelligence technology, i.e. Hyperion
• Optimisation of ERP systems, i.e. SAP and Oracle
• There is an opportunity for a senior consultant / Associate Director position to take a leading role within our SAP group. The role would suit a candidate who ultimately has ambitions of being admitted to the partnership.

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will cover a wide variety of advisory roles including:
• Working in a project environment to deliver SAP optimisation projects to clients, including interacting with senior and junior project team members
• Development and presentation of project deliverables to various levels of client management – especially C-level executives.
• Interacting with clients to understand technology issues, requirements and areas that can be optimised
• Identification of opportunities across the range of technology consulting service offerings
• Manage a sales pipeline of opportunities in the SAP space.
• Lead marketing activities to promote KPMG as a supplier of SAP services
• Developing alliances with SAP South Africa and SAP implementationpartners to deliver solutions to clients
• Leading the recruitment of junior team members
• Mentoring and performance management of junior team members.

Qualifications And Experience

• Completed BCom / BSc IT degree required
• Significant management experience in a IT/business consulting environment inthe SAP space (“Big 4”, Accenture or similar)
• Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and developments
• Project management experience in SAP implementation work.
• Experience of managing and growing teams of IT professionals.
• Experience of delivering projects to both IT and business customers
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary consulting team to deliver end-to-end solutions to clients
• Experience in a range of industry sectors (Government and Financial Services experience advantageous)
• Experience of leading sales / conversions at specific clients.

Purpose of the Job:

• KPMG Services (Pty) Ltd is looking for an Associate Director to lead and deliver IT Transformational strategic programmes and projects to clients as part of our CIO Advisory Group
• The role is focused on assisting clients with the design and implementation of transformational strategies, execution roadmaps, governance structures, policies, processes, procedures and controls across the IT and business lifecycle. The role also entails assisting clients with the design and execution from design through to post migration of large system implementation projects.
• The role requires previous end-to-end experience in large scale ERP system implementations as a Programme lead or as a Senior in the Programme office from an IT and data perspective.
• Prior experience in ERP system implementations is a prerequisite for the role.

Responsibilities will cover a wide variety of advisory roles in the IT Transformation domain covering:

• Participate in the selling and delivery of Transformational Solution Offerings.
• Assist in driving the KPMG IT Transformation “go to market” strategy

• Participate in the development of specific activities, process and methods for defining or assessing transformational programmes for business and/or IT.

• Experience in all aspects of the IT system development life cycle and business transformation initiatives
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience working with senior level managers and executives
• Business acumen within one or more business verticals is an asset – especially financial services, telecoms, public sector, healthcare or mining.
• Consulting experience is a major asset.
