Your Role
The Perishable Development Manager will be responsible for Organizes and monitors perishable sales and operations activity. Implements and communicates sales strategy achieves revenue plan. The Perishable Development Manager reports to the country Air Logistics BU manager.
 

Your Responsibilities

• Consolidates, verifies and communicates the market intelligence to planning team
• Communicates sales plan to national management and subordinates
• Identifies potential customers and allocates them to subordinates.
• Identifies special sales training needs and involves sales trainer
• Educates subordinates in district strategies and initiatives
• Provides guidance to subordinates in account planning
• Reviews and approves KN offers
• Ensures that multiple solutions are developed and the right one is selected and proposed to the customer. Effectively work with and lead the team to sign new business.
   

Your Skills And Experiences

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or relevant NQF related qualification is essential
• College or University degree in Management / Business Administration or equivalent
• Experience: 4 years + as a Perishable specialist in the market.
• English, written and spoken fluently
• Strong leadership, negotiating and communication skills
• Computer skills/office
• IT knowledge
• Business awareness; Excellent Project management

The Sea Logistics Customer Care plans and executes the day to day activities for the reefer customers. To support customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to comp[laints. To provide front line support for clients and customers and to ensure customers are satisfied with products, services, and features. To be accountable for retaining and growing customers.
Your Responsibilities

• Executing all reefer shipments in accordance with K+N processes and guidelines.
• Receiving and checking confirmed orders from client or destination offices and ensuring, Incoterms are stipulated including full set of commercial documents together with shipper’s letter of instruction/ Export Clearing Instruction is available
• Check customer account type, credit limit and that customers are registered exporters
• Requesting SOP's, WI and rate agreements upfront to ensure shipments are handled accordingly
• Confirming readiness date of cargo with Origin, after contact is made with the shipper
• Informing the shipper and destination office about booking details
• Processing of customs clearance (SAD500) prior to arranging the packing of cargo (including customers inspections as required) and processing of customs certificates e.g. EUR, SADC
• Processing of BOL instruction on receipt of final packing details and within manifesting deadlines

Your Skills And Experiences

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is essential
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook and Compu-clearing a distinct advantage)
• Proven ability to prioritize responsibility and work under pressure
• Ability to build and retain excellent client relationships
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Well organized and structured in approach
• You have a minimum of 5 Years of experience in Sea Logistics
• Good command of the English Language - both written & spoken
