    Human Resource Director

    About the job

    Key Job Accountabilities
    Define and direct human resources policy for his/her unit/Country/Profession/Zone.

    • Build HR strategy for his/her unit or BU according to business issues, and define the HR master plan through deploying Group projects.
    • Attract, select and identify talent by ensuring direct career management and lead succession plans in order to develop the motivation and commitment of talent, to reinforce retention and to ensure optimization of skills within the Group, in particular through training needs.
    • Ensure social and legal compliance, at both individual and collective levels, and take responsibility for the reliability and punctuality of orders for payroll transfers.
    • Anticipate and accompany the needs of the head of the unit and of his/her management committee, and facilitate organizational changes, consulting with managers and operations managers as a business strategic driver; act as a participant in business decisions.
    • Accompany the evolution of roles according to organizational changes.
    • Direct HR performance through L’Oréal's key performance indicators (KPIs, workforce, payroll, Group targets, etc.) and associated reporting. - Represent the L’Oréal Group in dealing with trade press or other media, participate in external events linked to the life of the company or to its HR role, in order to strengthen and promote its image as a Model Employer, ensuring the promotion of diversity and monitoring of the quality of life in the workplace.
    • Manage a team by monitoring the development of expertise and skills.

    General Manager LDB

    Complete business accountability to develop the Business Unit’s (BU) brand portfolio and image, turnover and profitability in the local market.
    Key Job Accountabilites

    • Implement the international brands strategies in the country, determine and implement necessary local adjustments in close liaison with the international brand teams
    • Enhance brands' attraction, image, and awareness in the country
    • Increase brands' market share and sales growth
    • Manage and is accountable for the BU’s P&L: define, optimise and monitor budget objectives (profitability, stocks, inventory, structure of P&L account)
    • Define, implement and monitor marketing activity (launches, renovations, repositioning of products, media, competitor analyses, field activities…)
    • Define, implement and monitor distribution strategy; build strong relationships with the trade
    • Build the Group’s internal and external image and reputation in the BU, through strong relationships with local distributors, government agencies and key influencers
    • Build and continuously adapt an effective and efficient organisation
    • Recruit, develop and manage teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and change management
    • Continue to strengthen succession plans with diverse hires in key positions
    • Support, drive and accelerate the skills revolution in LDB
    • Drive transformation projects across the Division

    Education, Training And Experience Required

    • Minimum six years of business unit management experience within L’Oreal is preferred
    • Full P & L management
    • Proven track-record of launching, accelerating and/or turning around brands
    • Detailed experience with South African Drug retail, formal & informal environments
    • Deep expertise and experience with digital, social media and influencer activations
    • Professional knowledge of and competence in navigating the current South African eCommerce dynamics
