    Finance Intern - Fourways

    Purpose of the Role

    • In order to support the growth of this new company, we are looking for a Finance Intern based in Johannesburg.

    Main responsibilities:

    Financial:

    • To accurately process, reconcile and prepare creditors invoices for payment.
    • Build a good supplier relationship in respect to processing and payment items.
    • To ensure that cashbook payments are paid and processed timeously and accurately.
    • To ensure accurate petty cash disbursements, reconciliation and replenishment happen timeously.
    • Prepare payment files and provide a remittance advice to all creditors.
    • Handle all supplier queries.
    • Prepare an updated accruals list.
    • Ensure all filing of supporting documentation are done immediately, accurately and securely in line with group and local retention policy requirements.
    • Assist and support external and internal audits.
    • All Ad hoc queries and requests must be completed within the deadlines agreed upon.

    Development:

    • Personal development in high level overview of what the company is selling and business concepts.
    • Ensure that all administration such as annual leave, sick leave, overtime and expense claims are completed correctly in line with Policies.
    • Complete all staff surveys, performance reports and plans as required.
    • Ensure the company values are embedded in all actions and deliveries.
    • Ensure that all tasks are performed and delivered within required timelines.

    Requirements

    Department Manager (Gauteng)

    Purpose of the role 

    • Contribute to customer satisfaction and to the overall results of the department. To serve as a leader and role model for the Sales Consultants. Support and assist the Head of department. 

    Main Responsibilities 

    • Lead and support a team of sales consultants. 
    • Be a player in the development of collective performance. 
    • Share information and facilitate communication within the team.

    • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.

    Head of Department (Gauteng)

    Purpose of the role 

    • To provide strategic management of people and resources in the department, to ensure excellent customer service and sustainable growth.

    Main responsibilities 

    • Lead and support a team of department managers
    • Develop the team to meet strategic business objectives
    • Manage full operations of the department 
    • Manage daily sales and customer relations
    • Identify business growth opportunities (new markets, new products and new services)
    • As a member of the management committee, co-create and decide on the strategy to implement

    Installations Quality Manager (Fourways)

    Description

    • As a member of the Installations management team, you will have the following responsibilities: 

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Participate in the development and implementation of the installations and contractor strategy.
    • Track and monitor service levels of contractors on our database.
    • Ensure accurate implementation of drawings and specifications for the customer projects, ensure corrective actions are taken timeously.
    • Quality Assurance checklist ensuring that the  specifications of each project are met. 
    • Oversight of the equipment. 
    • Monitor contractor onboarding on Platform 
    • Actively participate in the contractor vetting process to meet the needs of Leroy Merlin South Africa.
    • Manage quality control on site.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate should have the following qualifications, skills, experience and attributes:

    • Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal.
    • High level of organisation to manage multiple projects.
    • Relevant post matric qualification.
    • At least five years related experience in the construction/engineering environment. 
    • Read and interpret drawings. 
    • Wide scope of understanding across various construction areas.  (Builders, Plumbers, tilers, electrical etc)
    • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills. 
    • Knowledge of materials, plant and equipment. 
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Must be able to travel between sites for inspections.
    • Drivers license is required (Own vehicle preferred)
