    HR Manager | Cape Town

    Job Description

    • Managed People Solutions is Seeking an HR Manager based in Cape Town. The role supports employee experience, HR initiatives, and compliance across the group. The ideal candidate will help build a positive, high-performing, and inclusive work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide input to the People & Compliance Manager in order to develop a quarterly budget for the Human Resources division, as and when requested.
    • Assist with the compilation of detailed Human Resources Reports as directed by the People & Compliance Manager. This includes but is not limited to, a Performance Management (PM) Report(s), Employment Equity Report(s), Compliance and Policy Report(s), Employee Relation(s) etc.
    • Assist with building and maintaining effective relationships with clients/customers and ensure operational excellence.
    • This includes arranging and attending monthly Senior Leadership Team meetings (for each company within the group) to ascertain further needs and to report back on previous action plans.
    • Ensure an active and concise chain of communication and manage the flow and dissemination of information to relevant parties and stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of all services within the People and Culture realm to the respective clients.
    • Contribute towards ad hoc projects, as and when required.
    • Assist in ensuring effective end-to-end recruitment processes, from attracting top talent to successful placement, with a focus on a positive candidate experience, EVP, and best practice approaches (internally and externally).
    • Support the implementation of the enablement strategy for the Functional Group, ensuring alignment with development and capability needs across various occupational levels.
    • Ensure that the Pre- and 100 days of Connectivity are executed effectively with each new hire and that all required documents are completed.
    • Assist Line Managers with people relations issues, as and when required (investigations and corrective action reviews).
    • Assist with conducting disciplinary inquiries and provide legislative advice to management, ongoing.
    • Ensure all job profiles within the client are up to date and reviewed annually (or as and when required). This includes maintaining the Job Profile tracker per client.
    • Guide and support line managers to ensure performance contracts are done at appropriate intervals and that KPI’s for each position are clearly defined.
    • In addition to this, implement and manage effective performance management and report on findings and trends identified via the PM Report in line with PM sequence.
    • Ensure all related employment documentation adheres to labour legislation and compliance, ongoing. This includes, ensuring signed letters are received back, filed and employee records are up to date.
    • Support with the implementation of activities linked to Engagement, Culture and Employee wellness. This includes providing input as and where required, as well as conducting stay interviews, driving employees’ wellbeing programme, coordinate We Care initiatives and/or facilitating informal check-ins with employees.
    • Prepare general letters including but not limited to Embassy letters, as requested by employees.
    • Ensure that all documentation for terminated employees is processed accurately and timeously sent to the employee.

     Requirements and Experience:

    • Diploma or BCom degree or Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or related fields.
    • At least 3 years of HR generalist experience. Supervisory experience would be advantageous.

    Outbound Telesales Consultant | Meridian Wine Merchants | KwaZulu Natal

    Job Description

    • Meridian Wine Merchants is seeking a dynamic Outbound Telesales Consultant, based in KwaZulu Natal. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to represent premium wine and liquor brands while working in a hybrid environment as part of a passionate, growing team.

    Responsibility includes:

    • New product introduction and upliftment procedure to be carried out as per SOP.
    • Effective planning of the call cycle as per contact and coverage SOP.
    • Calling customers in accordance with the agreed call cycle.
    • Assisting new customers in opening new accounts as per SOP on new accounts.
    • Recording and promptly acting upon customers’ complaints, queries and requests and feedback accordingly as per Communication SOP and contact grid.
    • Actively building relationships with customers by identifying new growth opportunities in the wine category and adding personal touches (e.g. send complimentary bottle of wine on customer’s birthday) as per SOP.
    • Identify and execute promotional opportunities/requirements as per the customers’ needs and promotional SOP.
    • Gain knowledge on various products and processes to carry out a strategic negotiation with customers.
    • Understand your personal sales target by customer and brand and deliver the result.
    • Understand how personal sales commission / incentive are calculated.
    • Grow and maintain the customer base to achieve the sales target.
    • Grow listings on redistributor wine lists.
    • Develop a plan to close the sales gap by compiling a monthly Sales Report and submit this report as per SOP.
    • Log all calls and capture interaction with customers on the laptop as per SOP and RSM requirements.
    • Collect customer information as per Salesforce Contacts Report.
    • Submit trade program & cycle brief execution feedback as per SOP and RSM requirements.
    • Other operational report / feedback as per RSM requirements.
    • In accordance with the SOP on pre, during and post call procedures.
    • In accordance with the SOP on pre, during and post call procedures. 20% of your day to cover vacant Rep Areas.
    • Order taking and processing to be done on handheld technology.
    • Action specified tasks from cycle brief or operational requirements from RSM.
    • Manage stock allocations as per RSM requirements and stock allocation report.
    • Contribute towards informal succession planning and skills transfer within the Sales / Trade Marketing team by adopting a coaching and/or mentorship approach and teaching team members new learnings.
    • Plan and prioritize, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma relating to Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage Management.
    • One years’ experience in wine or liquor industry, customer service, hospitality, or FMCG retail sales and merchandising.
    • Cape Wine Academy Intro to SA Wine or WSET level 1 (beneficial).
    • Microsoft office suite.
    • Excellent ability to communicate verbally.
