    Business Program Management: Internship Opportunities

    Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications 

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, System engineering, Information technology, administration, or related. 
    • Fluency in the English Language

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Passion for technology and customer obsessed. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills.   
    • Strong balance of both business and technical skills    
    • Exceptional negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills    
    • Technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience is a plus    

    Responsibilities

    • As an intern, you will support the execution of account plans for multiple accounts and works to ensure engagements yield high volume sales for both Microsoft and the customer that are on track with goals, budgets, and forecasts. Understands customer drivers of digital transformation and leverages understanding to engage internal teams to accelerate the customer's digital transformation and strategy. Cultivates relationships and uses Microsoft sales strategies throughout multiple levels of the customer's organization to establish strong alignment on long-term goals and secure buy in and execution. Leverages knowledge of and experience with Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and strategy to address customers' needs.

    Responsibilites:

    • Engages with internal and external stakeholders on account planning for assigned accounts and sets strategic priorities and plan to achieve outcomes. Structures and leads account planning rhythm to set priorities, aligns Solutions/Sales Plays and opportunities, partners, focus, and resources to regularly update the plan, ensuring that the extended virtual team (inclusive of partners) and other stakeholders are working toward common goals. Ensures teams are documenting in the Account Plan.
    • Manages multiple accounts and determines which accounts should take priority and when to act, while maintaining a high level of commitment and accountability. Coordinates with the account management team to problem solve and mitigate issues.
    • Learns about the business of assigned accounts and intricacies of their industry, of Microsoft's position in the industry, and of direct competitors. Coordinates with internal industry experts (e.g., industry teams) to gather industry data of assigned accounts and improve planning.
    • Understands customer drivers of business and technology transformation and contributes to technology/transformation for assigned accounts. Mitigates competitive risk. Seeks to capture line-of-business wins (e.g., testimonials) for referencing through insightful listening.

    Cloud Solution Architecture: Internship Opportunities

    Qualifications
    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
    • Fluent in English
    • Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship

    Preferred Qualifications

    Responsibilities

    • Applies foundational technical knowledge of an architecture solution to meet business and information technology (IT) requirements and resolve identified technical constraints.
    • Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC)/partner by learning to identify and share feedback around technical capabilities, blockers, and insights that relate to the customer/partner with internal team.
    • Solicits input from others to contribute to proposals for viable solutions based on specific technical products. Demonstrates basic technical concepts and proves those design solutions capability through design collaboration sessions with the customer/partner.
    • Participates in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increase customer/partner usage, consumption, and value outcomes. Leverages development opportunities (e.g., mentorships, role-based resources, trainings, internal events such as Ready, Build, Ignite) to learn new technologies or services.

    Sales Business Development: Internship Opportunities

    Qualifications
    Minium Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field 
    • Fluent in English
    • Legally authorised to work in South Africa

    Responsibilities

    • Actively supports efforts to identify appropriate parties to partner with/sell to through conducting a partner/customer assessment of their current needs and defining a value proposition to meet those needs.  
    • Contributes to the assessment and pursuit of market opportunities and trends for the specialists that provide opportunities for partners/customers to leverage Microsoft platforms/products by identifying, quantifying, and qualifying opportunities with guidance from others.  
    • Works with experienced peers/parties to support the evaluation of opportunities in cooperation with partners to identify and prioritize goals and objectives for an achievable target. 
    • Coordinates and collaborates with peers to seek out sales or partnership pursuits with customers/partners and represents customers/partners' interests across internal teams to support the design and implementation of plans/programs with guidance from others. Increases customer's awareness of key influencers/players, as well as Microsoft's value proposition, to contribute to customer models and strategies.  
    • Contributes to building and maintaining trusted advisor partnerships with cross-functional partners, representing their team to segment leadership. 
    • Actively participates in closing mutually beneficial deals with customers/partners, in collaboration with internal partners (e.g., Sales Management Team). 
    • Supports discussions with customers/partners to align and help determine customer/partner and Microsoft needs and desired outcomes for a territory.

    Customer Success Account Management: Internship Opportunities

    Qualifications

    • Required Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science or related field with at least one quarter/semester remaining to complete after internship.  
    • You must be legally authorized to work in South Africa to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorized = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)
    • You must be fluent in English

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Displays strong stakeholder and relationship management across senior leaders, partners, and customers. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills in English. 

    Responsibilities

    • Learns customer, partner, and internal stakeholder engagement models. Supports foundational relationships with key customer stakeholders and technical professionals to enable quality solution delivery and health using partnerships with other account team leaders and with guidance from more experienced colleagues. Manages customer relationships beyond the current Unified Support contract owners with a focus on understanding business objectives and roadmaps.
    • Learns how to identify, navigate, and communicate with key customer technical stakeholders at different levels. Learns how to guide and lead conversations to facilitate the achievement of customer business objectives by leveraging their investment in Microsoft. Learns how to map internal roles to customer priorities to action the needs of customers. Learns how to develop key internal stakeholder relationships.
    • Grows technical aptitude and industry awareness to translate customer interactions into customer business impact and value.
    • Listens to conversations with customers and begins to align objectives with the current Microsoft portfolio of work in the customer account. Understands the organizational and customer success strategy. Understands Microsoft technology and services.
    • Supports the delivery of program planning and customer-facing program reviews, prioritization of engagements, and engagement with key technical stakeholders to address agreed-upon customer outcomes and account priorities to deliver ongoing customer success.
