    Visual Coordinator Power Fashion

    Job Description

    • This role provides administrative support in translating brand strategy into visual merchandising guidelines and coordinates the execution of in-store visual merchandising and other related adhoc activity. This role ensures that displays are implemented effectively by assisting with planning, logistics and developing store communication as well as monitoring execution. All activities are for the benefit of optimising customer experience and ultimately the goal is to drive customer engagement at store level through display that converts to increased transactions which meets business commercial objectives.

    Responsibilities
    Visual Brand Merchandising 

    Implement the brand's seasonal VM strategies aligned with brand identity and sales objectives. 

    • Assist in the planning, preparation and distribution of VM guidelines, briefs and display plans. 
    • Implement all seasonal and generic displays, in-store signage, window displays and product presentations. 
    • Coordinate the product handovers for display and signage purposes working closely with brand team. 
    • Prepare and distribute store communications and new store plans, training manuals to ensure consistency in execution. 
    • Execute ad hoc projects in the VM team when required to implement improvements in store layout, fixturing and drive clearance. 
    • Assist with testing and trial of new fixtures and fittings in preparation for business case presentations.
    • Attend to store requests, snag lists through regular virtual checks and tours to drive consistency. 
    • Prepare and distribute VM toolkits. Collect execution feedback to ensure consistency and accuracy in implementation. 

    Production Management  

    • Coordinate the production process from sending items to print, dispatch, and delivery to stores. 
    • Be hands on when necessary, in stock handling and setting up mock shops for fixture testing. 
    • Maintain a tracking timeline visual calendar to plan and respond to changes in order to meet deadlines. 
    • Compile briefs to the brand and design team for signage and internal comms. Implement sustainable production practices to enhance efficiency. 
    • Be hands on in dispatching correct store quantities and maintain a healthy stock on hand. 

    Store Efficiencies and Comms 

    • Collate insights from store POS/VM audits into briefs to suppliers to ensure all stores have consistent inventory. 
    • Track the store inventory and dispatching to new stores and existing stores. 
    • Create optimised store layout for new and existing stores by designing floor plans and using guidelines.
    • Implement efficient processes for applying and maintaining VM standards. 
    • Receive all store queries regarding signage, display or merch execution and prepare comms in response. 

    Budget Management & Reporting 

    • Track and monitor the visual merchandising budget. 
    • Assist with supplier consultation and collecting quotes for store fixtures and signage. Compile regular reports on production costs, VM effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). 
    • Ensure all vendors are up to date and month end finance deadlines are met. 
    • Analyse performance metrics to evaluate impact of visual merchandising strategies. 
    • Compile and prepare reporting documents, photos and summaries of visual merchandise interventions alongside sales data for internal review. 

    Trend Analysis & Research 

    • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activities to contribute to future VM plans. 
    • Compile reference mood boards on trends from global and local market trends for briefs. 
    • Implement customer and store surveys and compile feedback for future insights.

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Qualification in design, retail, operations or visual merchandising preferred
    • 2+ years visual merchandising for a clothing retailer, experience in floor layouts advantageous. 
    • Photoshop, InDesign. Adobe Suit, Microsoft Office.

    Junior Graphic Designer Power Fashion

    Job Description

    • To support in the conceptualisation, development and delivery of visually compelling, brand aligned design solutions that support the brands communication across touchpoints. Under the guidance of experienced designers and the brand team, this role will ensure creative output aligns with brand identity, drives customer engagement and provides consistency in the quality of all collateral for promotional campaign activity.

    Responsibilities
    Research and Insights 

    • Collate design trends, market trends and customer insights to create relevant designs. 
    • Track digital platform and design program updates and enhancements to apply efficient and innovative ways of working. 
    • Compile regular feedback on retail and competitor activity to track and benchmark campaign performance. 

    Photography and Editing

    • Assist the designer to capture photographic images of products for Flat-lay displays for use in promos and adhoc marketing collateral. 
    • Implement edits using intermediate editing skills and image manipulation for use in all National marketing collateral in accordance to our brand identity. 

    Design 

    • Assist the designer and brand team in creating marketing collateral for seasonal campaigns, posters, leaflets, social media posts; newsletters; videos and Point Of Sale collateral. 
    • Collaborate on the "end-to-end" creation of designs to meet all the needs of the business, from brief to final artwork or completed production. 
    • Participate in brainstorms and contribute to concept development. 
    • Work closely with brand teams to ensure understanding of briefs and objectives. Use and adhere to rand guidelines with consistent application of brand ID. Experiment with innovative design and fresh creative. Package and Deliver correct artwork specifications to suppliers.  

    Internal Comms 

    • Contribute to design concepts and photography for special projects such as Awards events, Conference events, Supplier Day, the Internal Newsletter and other internal marketing collateral. 
    • Assist with all adhoc marketing and internal requirements. 
    • Create presentation decks, mock up and mood boards when required for internal review and use. 

    File Management 

    • Organise design files and maintain folder and filing structures. 
    • Ensure correct bleed, resolution and finished art practices are adhered to. Follow the prescribed data management process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Motion graphics or equivalent. 
    • 2+ years in a design studio, creative agency or fast paced marketing environment; 
    • Basic to intermediate photography skills preferred
    • Retail experience is preferred, fashion experience is advantageous
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Photography; Video Editing a bonus. 
    • Strong attention to detail.
