    HR Manager

    Job Description

    Role Summary

    • The Human Resources Manager is an operations role responsible for executing HR strategy aligned with our mission and values.
    • The role oversees all aspects of HR: Talent Management, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Remuneration, Employee and Industrial Relations, Employee Wellness, Payroll management. Additionally, contribute to policy formulation as a good governance foundation for the Human Resources function.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Talent Management

    • Manage the recruitment process to ensure the timely acquisition of resources to meet the reserve needs
    • Ensure onboarding and induction processes are welcoming and seamless
    • Maintain recruitment databases with accurate recordkeeping
    • Evaluate service from recruitment agencies on an annual basis
    • Champion local hiring and development initiatives in line with the community upliftment goals.
    • Professionalize the offboarding process, conduct exit interviews and track trends over time

    Learning and Development

    • Monitor and record training needs to compile the Learning and Development plan
    • Ensure employees compile a personal development plan in partnership with line management
    • Maintain relationship with the Department of Employment and Labour (DOEL) to ensure the timely submission of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and the Annual Training Report (ATR)
    • Drive a culture of continuous learning and professional development across all departments.

    Performance Management and Remuneration

    • Execute the bi-annual performance review processes and record all review data.
    • Follow up on poor performance and track progress over time.
    • Follow up on excellent performance and ensure employee recognition.
    • Support the annual remuneration processes and oversee monthly payroll processing.

    Employee Relations

    • Foster a values-driven, respectful, and inclusive work environment across diverse teams.
    • Facilitate the resolution of disputes in partnership with line management.
    • Identify wellness requirements and contribute to long term solutions.

    HR Operations & Compliance

    • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with South African labour laws and relevant hospitality/conservation standards.
    • Produce and manage HR data, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and contract management..

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years HR experience with good understanding of South African labour laws and best practices.
    • Experience in Hospitality industry would be a distinct advantage

    Skincare Compounder

    Job Description

    • An industry leader in the cosmetic manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Skincare Compounder.

    Key responsibilities:
    Production

    • Prepare and manufacture skincare and cosmetic products according to approved formulations and batch sheets.
    • Accurately weigh and measure raw materials.
    • Operate mixing, heating, cooling, homogenizing, and blending equipment.
    • Monitor manufacturing processes, including temperatures, mixing speeds, pH, viscosity, and processing times.
    • Ensure batches are produced within specified tolerances and quality standards.
    • Complete batch documentation accurately and in real time.
    • Identify and report deviations or production issues immediately.

    Quality Assurance

    • Conduct in-process quality checks.
    • Ensure products meet formulation specifications before release to filling.
    • Collect samples for Quality Control testing.
    • Maintain full traceability of raw materials and finished batches.
    • Assist with investigations into batch deviations and non-conformances.

    Equipment & Maintenance

    • Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment according to SOPs.
    • Perform routine equipment inspections.
    • Report maintenance requirements promptly.
    • Ensure equipment is calibrated and fit for purpose before production.

    Inventory Management

    • Verify raw materials before use.
    • Record raw material usage accurately.
    • Assist with stock counts and inventory control.
    • Minimize waste through efficient manufacturing practices.

    Health & Safety

    • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations.
    • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Handle chemicals and raw materials safely.
    • Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area.
    • Participate in safety meetings and training.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Suggest improvements to manufacturing processes.
    • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Assist in reducing downtime, waste, and production costs.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • GMP or ISO manufacturing training is advantageous.

    Experience

    • 2–5 years' experience in a cosmetic, skincare, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with skincare or personal care formulations is preferred.
    • Experience operating industrial mixing and blending equipment.
