    Category Marketing Manager Coffee

    Position Summary

We’re now looking for a Category Marketing Manager within our Beverages division in Bryanston , working on all NESCAFE and Starbucks at home brands
    • The Category Marketing Manager for coffee leads the strategic marketing plan for all coffee segments , from strategy to execution with a focus on delivering brand kpi`s,  products mix,  target market segmentation, promotions and advertising, new product development and project management, as well as recommend the activities to the sales team in order to achieve marketing objective.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with agencies (Advertising, Media, PR and media Event agency) and other departments to execute all aspect of marketing activities.
    • Develop marketing strategy for all coffee brands in line with company objectives.
    • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
    • Work collaboratively to execute large scale coffee projects- across functions and regions
    • Work with internal and external customers, Online and PR to execute marketing activities through owned and paid media channels
    • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
    • Work with sales & trade marketing to identify programming to generate incremental sales and /or profitability
    • Work collaboratively with operations/sourcing to identify and develop productivity initiatives
    • Oversee the production of TVC, newspaper and magazine advertisements, road shows and liaising with art designers and media buyers
    • Analyzes current performance, trends, market conditions and other contributing factors and provide adequate protection through the distribution system in a cost-effective manner
    • Lead and develop a high performing team of marketeers
    • Lead Strong collaborative work across functions and regions
    • Lead brand price pack architecture and positioning decisions

    What will make you successful

    • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Marketing with 2 Years in another Function ideally Sales at Nestlé or equivalent
    • FMCG Experience in leading and managing high performing cross functional teams
    • Post Matric Qualification i.e., Bachelor's Degree/IMM Diploma
    • Demonstrated ability in working in complex categories

    CDT Manager

    Position Summary

    • As the Category Development Manager, you will lead and develop the Category and Channel agenda within the market to deliver long term Category growth and profitably increased market share.

    A day in the life of a Category Development Manager:

    • Develop and internally align commercial strategies & plans to win externally:
    • Lead the commercial planning process (ICP) to ensure timely cross-functional input and alignment to the key Category, Brand, Channel, Shopper and Customer growth opportunities and activation platforms.
    • Establish winning commercial propositions and support the development of customer and field sales plans.
    • Utilize category analysis, shopper insights and other available analytics/tools to drive solutions for customers and channels.
    • Partner with Brand and Sales Teams to develop actionable insights that will support Category driving initiatives.
    • Track the execution of plans, identifying eventual gaps, proposing actions to close the gaps.                                           

    Translate category drivers into actionable plans that deliver category growth and secure more support from customers for our brands:                                                                                

    • Define growth opportunities and main drivers for the category based on shopper data, customer needs and consumer demand moments.
    • Deliver a strong category growth story reflecting consumer, shopper, channel & customer dynamics.
    • Be the expert that is able to represent the Category to the Customer supporting Sales & Marketing to win in the market.
    • Lead the omni-channel category strategy development process with key internal stakeholders and ensure clear linkage between the market business strategy (MBS), brand, channel and customer strategy.                                          

    Gather and apply understanding of shopping missions, purchase behavior and motivation:                                                                                                           

    • Ensure that shopper understanding is available to support category and customer strategic decisions.
    • Develop the capability of commercial functions (Marketing, Sales, Field) to ensure shopper behavior is understood and applied to build stronger category stories and customers plans
    • Lead the generation of shopper understanding and interpret relevant sources of information and translate them into actionable insight relevant to category, brand, channel and customer.
    • Develop key initiatives in order to attract and convert more shoppers to the category.
    • Monitor and report on micro and macro shopper trends, implications and opportunities, leveraging supplier, customer and Nestlé global network and tools to guide internal and external customers to future growth opportunities".        
    • Understand the channel dynamics and prioritize them based on shopper centric insights and missions (relevant physical & digital store formats)
    • Develop channel solutions and contribute to build commercially aligned business cases and key initiatives that address the opportunity for future channel growth leveraging our categories strategies
    • Identify opportunities within all prioritized channels to execute the key category initiatives ensuring a frictionless on-line/off-line experience
    • Define the picture of success for the category in each prioritized channel and enable its implementation, continuous review and optimization.
    • Define business strategy to win in each priority channel.                                          

    Deliver profitable value sales growth and optimize customer margin, through improved return on trade investment and active mix management:                                                                                                                                  

    • Understands and uses the full range of revenue and profit levers (e.g. brand pricing & promotional strategy, customer & trade investment, mix management) to drive profitable growth for both Nestlé (NNS/kg, %MC) and the customer (% and $ trade margin).
    • Contributes to aligned brand pricing & promotion strategies across the portfolio with marketing, sales & finance through robust consumer & shopper understanding, channel & customer dynamics and competitive landscape.
    • Define & execute optimized Pack Price architecture (right pack at the right price in the right channel & ensuring profit expectations of both Nestlé & customer are satisfied) through fully understanding consumer, shopper & customer needs across prioritized channels
    • Understands trade investment composition & structure across customers to ensure optimal counterparts are in place, to execute against aligned portfolio & brand pricing strategies & drive return on investment.
    • Develop clear promotional guidelines/policies across our channels & customers based on agreed brand pricing strategies, infused with consumer & shopper insights. 
    • Partner with marketing, sales & finance to optimize promotion plans based on systematic promotional evaluation, challenge effectiveness, funding & mechanics, consistently applying Keep/Modify/Drop mindset, balancing trade investment with customer tactics and needs, to improve return on investment.                                            
    • Efficiently drive availability & visibility in physical and digital stores through perfect execution of Picture of Success.                                                                                   
    • Provide consistent shopper messaging across all Picture of Success touch points
    • Track the success of the overall execution of the category Picture of Success by channel, working cross-functionally to enhance the storytelling proposition"

    • Bring actionable insights which will inspire customers to implement aligned category strategy and initiatives.

    What will make you successful?

    • Minimum 7 years commercial experience.
    • Experience in development and execution of category strategy; Strategic Revenue Management ; Pricing pack architecture development; customer knowledge (Retail and Distributor); category  strategy and channel development experience.
    • Demonstrable record of success in delivering key commercial KPI's
    • Understands key business functions i.e. Commercial, Finance, Technical, Supply Chain.

    Chemistry/Microbiology Analyst

    Position Summary

We are now looking for a Chemistry/Microbiology Analyst to be based in East London Factory. 
    • In this role you will be responsible for preparation of the sample, analysis, entering results into SAP and reporting of results within five days according to work planning. He/she maintains the chemical inventory and laboratory equipment according to strict rules (internal control plan) and tracks the performance of the analytical methods in use through method performance monitoring applications (QSTAT) and regular proficiency testing (P-tests). Method procedures (LIs/SOPs) are verified on a regular basis by the analyst.
    • In this position the job holder is overall accountable for On Time Release and availability of samples with all required documents. May include reasonable requests to perform tasks outside this scope.

    A day in the life of a Chemistry/Microbiology Analyst:

    Leadership

    • Knows by product group the principles of analytical methods applied for all parameters monitored by the factory laboratory
    • Ensures reliable results as per NQMS/ Nestle Internal requirements and within five days turnaround time.
    • Adds value to the analytical results through full understanding of the product in terms of food safety and regulatory compliance.
    • Alerts Compliance Specialist (Co-Ordinator) of discrepancies/ out of norm situations

    Technical

    • Analysis of samples: perform all fat, moisture (both rapid & oven), particle size, viscosity, effluent, sucrose, reducing sugars, viscosity, raw material analysis and proximate analysis as per Laboratory instructions and ensure correct result entry into SAP with respect to method used.
    • Management of GLP, ICP, SOP: put ICP, SOP in place and update them when necessary. Maintain Good laboratory practices (GLP). Ensure safeties are in place at all times. Use control checks and monitor analytical method performance through Q-Stat to ensure quality of analytical results.
    • Proficiency Testing: Participate in Nestlé “P” tests and other proficiency schemes.
    • Maintenance of resources: keep track of resources (chemicals/ gases/ glassware/ instruments, consumables). Maintain equipment (services) and arrange for defects/faulty equipment to be repaired. Maintain records of repairs/calibrations/analytical method control.

    What will make you successful?

    • Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or any science related qualification  
    • 3 years’ experience in a lab environment preferably within the Food Industry
    • Knowledge of good manufacturing system
    • Compliance and regulatory experience
    • FMCG/Pharmaceutical background essential

    Sales Finance Analyst

    Position Summary

    • Provide financial support and manage the forecast of Net Net Sales, Total Trade spend, Allowances and Customer Contribution to ensure alignment with monthly business planning and the Dynamic Forecast.           
    • Participate in the development of the customer and channel strategy. (Modern trade, traditional, eCommerce etc.)
    • Ensure governance of order to cash cycle and trade activity process with the relevant stakeholders
    • Ensure that Pre & Post promotional evaluations are performed timeously and accurately.
    • Provide financial support to Category Account Managers in their preparation of evaluations.
    • Provide analysis of evaluations vs prior year, across categories and across customers to ensure optimal use of funds.
    • Leverage Customer Contribution Statements (CCS) as a management tool by providing analysis pertaining to mix impact, and clear understanding of the CCS drivers.
    • Custodian of internal controls and assurance that trade spend practices comply with internal and external guidelines.
    • Partner with relevant functions to ensure transparency, alignment and proactive collaboration on Trade Spend.
    • Partner with Customer Finance organization to facilitate discussion on order to cash payment cycle and to provide financial guidance in customer negotiations   .
    • Improve Customer Sales Team business acumen through training and ongoing Finance and Sales Analysis.

    What will make you successful

    • 3-5 years relevant experience
    • BCom Degree/Diploma – BCom Sales & Marketing, Finance or related
    • Auditing, CA, CIMA or FMCG experience
    • Experience in commercial finance functions
    • Experience in management accounting with knowledge and understanding of financial justifications, Return on Investments and Price, volume, Mix analysis.
