EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary education in Business Management / BCom or equivalent qualification

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 5 - 8 years sales experience in the automotive industry

NB: Travelling is required position looks after KwaZulu Natal and Johannesburg Clients

• Review dealer sales and marketing plans.
• Implement sales strategies with dealers.
• Ensure dealer resource and capacity compliance.
• Ensure franchise standards compliance.
• Analyse markets and develop strict plans.

• Review and manage dealer inventory management.

• Retail/wholesale target achievement and Accurate forecasting by derivative, by dealer on a weekly basis; continuous focus on profit achievement and hence focus on ensuring sales of the more profitable vehicles.
• Monitoring dealer CSI and ensuring that the correct processes are in place to achieve the desired CS levels; monitoring of dealer standards compliance via the Edge Program.
• Timeous and value-adding completion of dealer performance reports on a monthly measurable and can be followed up;
• Active management of aged inventory and developing actions with the dealer/s to address any concerns, review of dealer performance by model range with appropriate corrective actions where necessary.
• Identification of key indicators of problem/opportunity areas in the dealer operation and providing the necessary insight and guidance to develop adequate corrective actions together with the dealer/s.
• Good business sense and ability to apply this practically.
• High level of confidence and ability to regulate assertiveness in line with the task at hand and handle uncomfortable and sometimes confrontational situations with dealers and even customers occasionally.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma in Mechanical/chemistry Engineering
• Minimum Requirements Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in Paint and Manufacturing

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Paint application

• Planning and introduction of process in accordance with NML and Nissan Global Standards
• Fault finding and correction, implementation of standards and adherence. Continuous improvement and production technical support.

Change implementation Q C T

• Maintenance and introduction of necessary process standards and equipment with regards to process control. Innovation and driving improvement.

Problem resolution

• Perform process audits to ensure adherence to standards processes.
• Analysis of problem areas and implementation of counter measures in accordance with PDCA-cycle

Reporting

• Compile weekly/monthly reports on QCT items in accordance with business plans
• Follow up on supplier commitments and activity.

Project Management

• Introduction and control of process materials
• Control and implementation of changes according to design and engineering standards.
• Verification of Operation manual against drawing and G2B
• Ensure adherence to SES & FPES, environment standards.
• Compile project plan according to specific project requirements
• Project management to ensure successful execution according to project/ product plan
• Evaluate and monitor project and remedial actions taken to address variances
• Report on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on status of projects
• Ensure cost control according to the forecasted budget & set parameters.

• Knowledge and understanding of engineering processes
• Paint topcoat and Pre-treatment
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards
• Basic Financial knowledge (Budgeting & PIC & controlling)
• Knowledge of global best engineering practices
• Computer literacy, including excel advance
• Knowledge of relevant quality systems
• Knowledge of tool making
• Knowledge of painting application
