    Accountant

    Job Description

    • We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accountant. We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Accountant to join their client services team. The successful candidate will specialize predominantly in preparing financial statements using Caseware, managing all aspects of eFiling submissions, and liaising proactively with SARS on
    • This role requires a driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced office environment, providing expert support to a diverse client base.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare accurate and compliant financial statements using Caseware software.
    • Manage the full eFiling process for clients, including tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Provisional Tax), SARS dispute resolution process, and update of representatives.
    • Engage directly with SARS to resolve queries, discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
    • Provide exceptional service to a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness.
    • Regularly communicate with clients, providing insightful financial information and tax-related updates.
    • Assist with tax planning and advisory services within established guidelines.
    • ​Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation, financial regulations, and Caseware updates.

    Requirements
    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting, specifically with Caseware, eFiling, and SARS.
    • Engaging directly with SARS to resolve issues
    • ​Preparing financial statements

    Requirements:

    • Full-time, office-based role. (Flexible work arrangements will take effect after successful probation.) Dunkeld, Rosebank.
    • Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

    Skills:

    • Expert proficiency in Caseware Financial Statements software.

    Design & Marketing Assistant

    Job Description

    • Outsourced CFO is hiring a Design & Marketing Assistant who supports the execution of digital marketing and content initiatives across the OCFO brand family, which includes OCFO Founders Events, and Founders Foundation.
    • This role is key in supporting performance marketing initiatives by managing content operations and assisting with visual execution, responsibilities include content scheduling, design work, community management, event administration and newsletter support.

    Job responsibilities will include, among other:

    Design (Website & Collateral)

    • Design assets for OCFO, Founders Events & Founders Foundation websites
    • Assist in banner designs, one-pagers, flyers, social graphics, due diligence report graphics
    • Update and maintain existing visual templates

    Social Media Support

    • Design content for social media posts based on briefs
    • Create post copy using guidelines
    • Support content calendar execution
    • Community management: monitor comments, flag leads, engage where appropriate
    • Capture photos and videos for social media & digital use, including events and internal content

    Content Scheduling & Blog Uploads

    • Schedule and upload blog content

    Accounting Consultant

    Job Description
    Outsourced CFO is recruiting for an Accounting Consultant to join our team!

    • As an Accounting Consultant, your role is to provide comprehensive client service and support while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. You will be responsible for processing various financial transactions, reviewing the work of trainees, and compiling accurate financial statements and management reports. Additionally, you will engage with clients, build relationships, and assist in scoping their needs. Your role also includes providing training to junior staff members. Contributing to client administration tasks, participating in planning and administrative activities, fostering a positive company culture, and staying updated with the latest industry trends.

    Job responsibilities will include, among others:
    Client Service

    • Process bank statements, supplier and customer bills, fixed assets, and other accounting tasks; review trainee work.    
    • Ensure SARS compliance: VAT reconciliations, provisional/income tax calculations and submissions; review trainee tax work.    
    • Compile management reports from monthly accounting records.    
    • Compile annual financial statements for clients.    
    • Prepare working papers for independent review engagements.    
    • Perform and review monthly accounting to ensure accurate balance sheets and income statements.    
    • Assist with payroll tasks: processing, reconciliations, EMP201/EMP501/COIDA/WCA submissions; review trainee work.    
    • Engage with clients, build relationships, scope needs, and prepare client budgets; assist junior staff.    
    • Provide secretarial services: annual returns, changes in year-end/directors, minutes and resolutions.

    Providing Training

    • Provide on-the-job training to Accounting Consultants, Junior Accounting staff, and Trainees; present training to the cloud accounting team.

    Client Admin

    • Update CRM with client details.    
    • Perform client scoping, prepare proposals, and assist with client onboarding/offboarding.    
    • Prepare agendas for monthly planning meetings with the Cloud Accounting Manager.    
    • Submit timesheets on time.    
    • Ensure timely rollout and sign-off of projects.    
    • Review budgeted vs. actual hours spent on clients.    
    • Attend and participate in company team events.
